  1. Think the auto shutoff is a fuel economy/pollution control feature and as such the intention is good, noble, etc. I don’t think you have to worry about the usual engine start up wear issues as that is mostly related to the oil having drained down fromwear surfaces like the cams and cylinder walls and that is something that takes much longer than a minute. My concern would be with wear on the starter and battery but that maybe a reasonable trade off if you are so inclined.
  2. Per Porsche Maintenance sched.: Replace PDCC reservoir at 60k miles or 6 years (assume replacement of reservoir includes oil) Change PDK oil 60k miles or 6 years (PDK oil filter is built into the pan my dealer said replace pan at 120k. Have seen recommendation to replace pan at 60 k ) Spark plugs every 30k or 4 years Brake fluid every 2 years Tire sealant every 4 years (I bought a tire plug kit at Walmart and have AAA) I had a front suspension rattle/clunk. My mechanic replaced the main fluid filled bushings on the lower control arms which were leaking and that cured the problem. Cost was about 1/2 of new lower control arms, but new arms are improved in some way so proper course is somewhat dependent on your values. Rattle on my car was much more noticeable below ~30 deg. F. Don’t know if likelihood of bushing failure is temp. related or just more noticeable in cold weather. All sorts of error codes, warnings, wierd crap cured by replacing battery that was original (2010) and still was testing fine. Cooling system - Have seen some reports of failure of 1st gen thermostat housing with glued as apposed to 1 piece water pipes. This can result in the coolant all over the engine compartment. My mechanic and local dealer did not think it was a major concern. It’s located in the front of the engine under the “Y” intake. If you see coolant under there I would investigate promptly. Oil- about 1.25 qt in 3k miles but it seemed like more use right after I bought it which was winter and also after a period of low mileage (about 2k in year prior to my purchase). I’m assuming it has 0w40 in it but don’t know for sure but will be changed to Mobil 1 0w40 soon. Bill 2010 PTT 52k miles purchased Jan ‘18, 48k
  3. Just out of curiosity could you post total cost so others considering this will have the info. I think its a better track to sport plus than the sport chrono pack as original equipment but that could be because I have never found a use for the chrono.
  4. That sound seems too high pitched to be anything mechanical. You might be able to figure out the frequency with a Phone audio spectrum app. Old TVs had a carrier frequency around 19khz and this doesn’t seen that high but still way up there. Are all audio sources turned off not just down? Any area of the car where it seems louder? Bluetooth? I checked youtube for a 10khz tone ( turn volume way down, then up slowly because this tone played loud will not be good for your ears or your equipment.) That sounded pretty close to me. I can’t think of anything other than electronics that vibrate 10,000 times per second. Does opening / closing the glove compartment vent change the sound?
  5. Here is a link to a sport plus add on. https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/970SMS.html ”Compatibility: Fits 2009-2016 Panamera models with PCM 3.1” I think Sport Plus /Launch Control get you about .2 sec from ~4.0 to ~3.8 Another feature of Sport Plus with the turbos Is that you can get over boost for about 10 seconds which can boost the max torque ~10% from 516 ft-lbs to 568. Jet pack for passing.
