  1. From what you describe it could be bushings however without looking at it up in the air it it is guessing at best. For example it might be a wheel bearing and not bushings. Either way you will need to get it up on a lift. As far as warranty coverage that is a good question. I work on all my cars so I don’t have warranties and have them removed if I buy a used car from a dealer. What does your warranty cover? Normal wear and tear? Drivetrain etc? You definitely need the car up on a lift or jack stands to inspect the noise further.
  2. Those bank 1 and 2 to lean codes are probably due to a vacuum leak. Smoke test the car to find the source. As far as the too low oil pressure I wouldn’t go past idle until you fix the issue. This thread should help you: https://www.renntech.org/topic/37582-oil-pressure-too-low/
  3. Based on the part picture it looks like you remove the two coolant lines and 1 vacuum line attached to it. You will then need to refill / replace any lost coolant. I have been told you must use a vacuum based coolant filler to re-add coolant on these cars. I also use alldata diy and highly recommend it. If you don’t mind reply back with your solution.
  4. I believe I have the same issue. I couldn’t find any user settings to change this and I also believe, as you, PIWIS is required to turn off. I also own /drive BMWs and on my bemers it is a software controlled function, not a user setting, which I have turned off. I have durametric and do not see an option to turn off DRLs. I want DRLs off on my ‘13 GTS.
  5. I just took the pressure tester off after several days of testing and no drop in pressure. I believe I have found the leak to be the upper radiator hose. I took off the plastic panels to get a better look and I found what appears to be a dried coolant trail. I plan on replacing the upper and lower radiator hoses and then drive the car to see if the issue has been resolved. Thank you for the help. Off topic: is there a general forum section porsche owners hang out on?
  6. I am leaving the pressure tester on overnight however it is still at 15 psi. If by morning no change I will probably just replace the pipes under the intake with the updated part revisions and possibly the thermostat housing. I notice the coolant smell where the upper radiator hose is located when the engine is hot. Or i might try to perform the pressure test when the engine is hot. My coolant level is normal so I guess it must be a very small leak or it was possibly overfilled...
  7. Interesting, I didn’t know this about Cayennes. On BMWs I have always found the leaks when the car is cold. The pressure tester has been hooked up all day however it is still at 15 psi no drop in pressure and no leaks identified yet....
  8. Hello, I recently purchased a 2013 cayenne GTS and noticed a coolant smell in the engine bay. This is my first Porsche and I have been driving BMWs for years. I work on all my cars and on the BMWs most of the cooling system needs to be replaced every 80k miles. Is that the case for our Cayennes? Basically what is due and when for preventative maintenance specific to the cooling system? Thanks, Robert
  9. I might be in the same boat. Is this common on the V8s as well? I recommend and plan on using a coolant pressure leak detector to find the source.
