With engine running put a rubber vacuum hose to your ear and place the other end around the intake area of #8. I'll bet you hear a hissing sound.
1738 is definitely the sensor on the Front Left (Driver side in US) under the headlight. Likewise 1739 is the same sensor on the passenger side. Once you replace the sensor the error and light will go away (i.e. you don't need to reset it). I just did this fix last weekend on a 2005 CTT. Btw, getting the sensor off the mount is really difficult if you live in a salty area. I basically melted the plastic aound the metal collar, removed the sensor and then used vicegrips and heat on the metal collar to remove it from the post. To apply heat I used and Induction Heater (Venom).
I created a video on how to remove and disassemble the front door. This includes removing the bottom trim strip, door lock, door handle, inner door panel, window/frame and door shell.
So I have been fixing things and re-running the test. This is what I know so far: START n75 tank vent valve(front left intake clicking) (no sound on my car)? right secondary air pump (motor running) Boost Pressure Control Solenoid (front right intake) Behind fuel door (solenoid clicking) Ambient Air Solenoid (back left intake) Behind fuel door (solenoid clicking) Vacuum Pump (right firewall motor running) fuel pump? - air compressor? (back under motor running) Left Secondary pump (motor running) Fuel pump? (back under car motor running) Left cooling fan running Right cooling fan running Aux Cooling Pump (in left front fender motor running quietly) DONE
All, I ran a Durametric Output test on my 2005 Turbo but the software does not tell you which actuator it is activating. Does anyone have a list of the actuators (relays, motors, etc) in the sequence of the test?
