  1. But what if you have the Porsche "klangpaket" sound packet. Can you then upgrade to the BOSE system including the extra features that then comes in the PCM modul ?
  2. My idea is to manually open all the windows myself before pressing the cab close/open switch. Then it should start right away with raising the top. Good luck
  3. Yep, Try to turn the engine off, and turn the steering wheel, Then is should be easy to hear where it comes from. If it is the Steering wheel, it is most likely the clock spring connector to the Airbag that makes the noise. Use a little bit of grease on that, and then you are on the road again.
  4. Keep us posted Msindi, I also have full electrical seats but with no memory.
  5. How did it all end ?.. What was the solution ? I would like to do this little hack also, but would still like my cab top to work. :-))
  6. As far as I know, It is the complete workshop manual which is just scanned in to a computer and then sold in 100 of copies to 2-3-4-50 bugs. BUT, be aware. Ask for how updated it is. For eksample, it is nice to have the wiring diagrams for you model year. Good luck :-))
  7. I would like to know that also, I think the Motronic system lies under that carpet. Working on doing the Cruise control hack.
  8. I Got the Black connectors. Both for the Cruise control hack and for the OBC hack. Even Porsche in Denmark helped me out with the female pins and wires that goes into the connectors.
  9. S03s ....????? What is that ? I have the P Zero on my car. They are more expensive here in Europe compared to the Conti sportcontact N2. I had conti on my 968 and where happy about those. But the noise from the P Zero seems to be less. :drive:
  10. Haha. I have the problem that it creeks when it is cold outside. More grease !! :-)
  11. That is strange, I just got that connector from Porsche in Denmark last week. I know they ordered it in Germany. Will very soon be ready for the OBC and Cruise control hack at the same time. :drive:
  12. Sounded like the valve lifters tapping away quite loudly. you could also hear them increase in frequency as the engine increases revs. Don´t like the sound of that :o .....A little later.... B) Have just been down starting my engine. I can´t even hear my lifters.
  13. What are all those numbers in KM/Liter . In town I get around 6-7 KM/L and on highway easy drive, I get 10-12 KM/L C2 Cab with PSE and manual gear.
  14. I cant´t see what this should have to do with the PSE. But take it to the dealer and let them have a quick look at it. Hopefully it just needs to be reset.
  15. How can a new car have 100 miles on the clock ? have it been used as a test car of some kind ? ;)
  16. I think it could be super nice, if there was some kind of chat forum. A place where we could help each other out even faster when we have small problems, or just want to talk about anything. What do you think ?
  17. Thanks Tool Pants. I will take a look. I already know that I don´t have the switch for the starter interlock because we don´t use that in Europe.
  18. Is it the same location for a 996 Cab MY2001 ? On my wiring diagram there is a switch called "clutch switch cruise control" ED don´t see to mention anything about that in his hack. That switch goes up to Connector IV pin 23. It looks to be a switch that disengage the cruise control if you press the clutch pedal down.
  19. Hey Loren. No problem here it is. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=661 I am in contact with Ed now, to sort some things out. Often "I hit the wall" because I don´t have any workshop manual :( Missing some wiring diagrams and location of different circuits. Will keep you all updated on the project :)
  20. I am looking for a "partner" to brainstorm on how to do the cruise control hack on a 996. I think I have got all the spare parts needed for the OBC and cruise control hack, but is still missing a lot of informations about wiring and location on different circuits. If someone with a workshop manual and a 996 :D would be interested it would be great. :help: It has already been done on a Boxster by ED, so it should be possible to do also on a 996. Thanks for any reply :clapping: :drive:
  21. Great little hack for us which need daytime running light. Thanks, :clapping:
  22. 522 Euro for 2 small speakers.................. Holy moly. Are your rear speakers broke ??
  23. Very easy.. You need a falt pice of metal to open the side of the panel. And then you just change the switch.
