  1. The price is pretty much the same (plus coils comes with top mounts). If you compare RoW M030 to a softest setting on coils, Is the coils still stiffer?
  2. Hello, I want to change my shocks and springs and I found those coilovers: Ksport Coilovers Did anybody tried these already, if yes I would like to find out if they are worth buying or should I stick to RoW suspension. I've got Boxster stock suspension with almost 90K miles. 18'' wheels. Car is a daily driver. In future maybe autox, DE. I don't mind stiff setup. Thank you for help.
  3. I was wondering if you could post a picture of your console with nakamichi radio in it. I was thinking of buying one, but not sure how it's going to look like. I really like the look of the stock becker. Thanks
  4. I'm not an expert but I think it's either bad ballast or wiring problem. Why don't you switch the bulbs between headlights and find out.
  5. I thought somebody might be interested. I hope I won't violate any rules by posting it here, if it does please delete it. It kind of belong to this thread. I will place it also in classified. I've got for sale ballast and bulbs from nissan 350z. I will include retrofitted porsche covers. It is plug and play kit. Ask me questions. Link: Xenon Kit - Ebay
  6. Actually great topic. I have a same questions!!! I've got Boxster 2.5l and my temp is always around middle of the 180 number. I live in Florida and air temps are around 90 F. When I drive it hard temp is going the end of zero, but never pass it. I was thinking that my car is overheating so I remove bumper and clean the radiators. Still the same. I had cooling tank replaced 8 months ago. I will try to open the valve to remove maybe more air from the cooling system (if there is any). Is the temp ok? How about other owners?
  7. I had the same noise forever. It sounds like from under the dashboard but it was something else. Anyway I lube everything under the dash. My mechanic did the same thing and it was still sqeaking very bad. Since my clutch started to slip, I bought clucht kit and head to my mechanic. Yesterday, my mechanic changed clutch, plate, bearing, pilot bearing, fork and etc. He said that he cleaned all old clutch dust that build up over time. and... NO sqeaking. It's so quiet. P.S. So in my case it wasn't pedal related. BTW I love my new clutch.
  8. Here's the link Sears Powder Coat Gun Looks cool.
  9. I was yesterday at Sears looking for some tools. On my way to register I saw a tool label that said Powder Coat Gun. Gun is a size of the heat gun. It cost around $180 plus you can buy six different color (red, black, blue, gold, yellow and I don't remember). Color is just a powder you put in the gun. You plug the gun to power and .... powder coat whatever you want. (I think) I was wondering if anybody ever heard about it or maybe used it?
  10. Sweet!!! Do you know if it is possible to change those pins? I was looking at the diagram and I couldn't find those pins. Looks like it's one piece with caliper. or you just thinking about cutting them off, I mean making shorter? BTW awesome job!!!
  11. It was heavy carbon build up. I cleaned ICV, a little carbon still lefted inside plus that tiny crack. I did my best. Today in the morning engine started right away as usual and then 3 sec rpm up and down, like it want to die. I press gas pedal gently and rpm went up to 1200 and then fall to 400. I released gas pedal wait 3 sec and after that car runs really great. No issues. No codes. At the red lights rps steady at 750-800. ???
  12. Recently I ordered oil separator, maf sensor and couple other things. My car is '99 with 82K. I've never had problems with idle. Sweet except that I started to have problems at startup. Engine starts immediately and then for 5 sec rpms dropping down like the car want to die. For that 5 sec rpms are up and down between 450 and 1000. So I decided it's time to do some cleaning. BTW this topis was very helpful. I removed my throttle body to do really good cleaning. It was very dirty with oil. Next was ICV regulator. Looks even worse. I used intake cleaner to remove oil from regulator. While ICV was drying at the sun I notice a tiny crack in the cover. I was way too dirty and p... to make a picture. Question is: Is it causing problem at startup?
  13. Yeah, I dont like LED lights either. The best lights ever for a boxster are either original white/red or 550 version. Hard to get and expansive.
  14. My friend had Yokos and he was very happy with them. I read the reviews but only from other P-car users. Check this: Yoko AVS Sport - P-car users Review I know there are better tires. I just wasn't sure, which ones. There are so many tires out there. And funny thing is they all good. I think it depends on what you driving (FWD, RWD, 4WD) and how you are driving. Anyway it's too late now. Tires arrived. Thanks
  15. I was looking for answer everywhere and .... I decided I'll go with Yoko AVS Sport. I ordered front 225/40/18 and 265/35/18 rear. They already arrived, so I'm going to balance and mount them tomorrow. Wow, I can't wait. I'm like a baby now. Plus they looking really awesome. P.S. I was also thinking about goodyears but ....
  16. It is time to buy new tires. So after a research on this forum I found that most of you guys like Michelins PS2. I found on tire rack couple other options, but anyway I end up with Michelins PS2 or ..... Yokohama AVS Sport. Yokohama look really nice and they have a lot good reviews + good wet traction. My car is Boxster '99. I'm living in FL. I didn't track yet, but i'm thinking about DE and Autocross, maybe once, maybe twice a year. So I'm really confused right now which one to buy. Prices of these two brands are similiar. Help, maybe you've got something else. Thanks
  17. I like Techart Daytona. I found set in good price that's why I was asking. Too bad. Thanks
  18. I was wondering if anybody can help me. I search forum already and could not find the answer. I want to buy a wheels with tires. I found used set that I really like. The only problem is those rims are from 996 narrow body and they are huge. Wheels size: Front 18x9 and Rear 18x11 Offset: Front 40 and Rear 52 Tires: Front 255/35 and Rear 295/30 I really like those rims. I know that tires might be to big but I can always buy smaller. What about wheels? So my question is: Will they fit? Do I have to use spacers? If they will not work is there anything I can do to make them work? Thank you P.S. My suspension is still stock.
  19. So basically you can't ruin your sensor by touching it. I've already clean it once using crc spray but there was still dirt visible. It was a little bit better but no huge difference. I've got 78K miles on my Boxi and I think I have to buy new sensor soon. Before that I will clean it gently with q-tip, crc spray and see what's gonna happend. Thanks P.S. No codes, I just feel it's going bad.
  20. I know MAF problems were covered thousands times, but my question is about cleaning it. When cleaning sensor, we are not supposed to touch anything. Just spray fluid on it and dry it. Pretty simple. Hmmm!!!!! DID ANYBODY TOUCH ANYTHING ON THE SENSOR? Can we clean it gently for example with q-tip? Are we going to damage sensor permanently? Thank you for respone.
  21. I was wondering how much you are asking for it? Is it a Bosch card, cables, notebook and a software? I'm mad at my dealer so I was thinking about pst2 notebook. Pls let me know
  22. I'm not a mechanic. I just heard it is very hard to remove it. The easiest way is: when you change clutch, lower your transmission with engine and then remove intake. I've got 99 with 70K miles and problem with secondary air valve system. I'm just adding chevron fuel addon and everything is fine no CEL for past 3 months. Waiting for cluch replacement in future.
  23. Clean the old glue and put a new seal (glue). You can buy a lot of different glues, seals at AutoZone.
  24. Do you know why the coolant went low? What happend? Thanks
  25. Thank you. I thought it's only me.
