  1. I'm on Pagid RS-29's now, they are very similar to the 19's. They are said to have a bit more bite, but in all honestly I couldn't tell the difference, I think both are extreemly good. Some say they squeal loudly and annoyingly, some say they don't. I've been lucky in that none of my sets of pads have squealed as yet. I'm finding I'm getting more like 3,000 miles to a set of front pads & rotors, but I'm a far more conservative tracker than mds.
  2. Is there any ill effect (or benefit) to the handling at the track if it is set a tad lower? (running -2.5º all round with MPSC's)
  3. Any other Mac users out there using a DL1? I am still waiting for Virtual PC7 to come out so I can run my DL1 on my Mac. (my whole life is Mac based, so I can't see getting a PC just for the DL1). Very frustrated to still not be able to use it, the software works fine in VPC6, but it can't read the flash cards or the unit iself :-( Microsoft admit the issue with VPC6 and say it will be cured with VPC7,
  4. Mike, that is very interesting, but now I am a little confused. When I took my car to Johnson's in Torrance to have the full alignment and ride height adjusted I watched the guy there very carefully thru the 6 hours he spent on the car. It got weighted 3 times with driver weight in the process, but the guy doing the alignment was also looking for equal diagonal weights. The difference is 35lbs, or 2%, how critical or badly incorrect is this, and what am I risking/loosing by not correcting it? The car feels much much better than it did before the alignment, but I had a slight rear toe out amongst other things, so the huge improvement I'm feeling is the camber & toe much more that the balance.
  5. If I understand all of this correctly you just need to be out of the gas completely within the 1.5 secs, then you can get back on it, and balance the two, so long as the brake pedal remains within the same stroke as far as it's brain is concerned. If you get all the way off the brake you need to start the process again. I followed this diagram to set my brake pedal around 10mm lower than it was delivered, and it has transformed the way the car feels. There was a really big step between the two, making heel toe and transitioning between the pedals very awkward. Now everything is in the right place the foot work is smooth and easy, and the car feels much smoother and calmer.
  6. Good to know, thanks for the clarification Viken.
  7. I read that it is set high to meet a minimum federal headlight height standard, but I am not sure if this is fact or fiction. When I took my GT3 for its first alignment it was set exactly 10mm above the 115mm mark.
