  1. Hey JP, have you figured out your problem? I have a 97 boxster 8 pin door lock also. The lock rattles inside so I swapped it for a cheap, I believe, Volkswagen lock which didn't solve anything. My key fob buttons don't work. I only have a key hole on the driver side and when I use the key I have to pull the handle quick to keep it from locking me out again. The old Porsche lock was doing the same thing. It has now started locking me in the car even when the car is running and I have to reach out the window to unlock it while pulling the handle quick. I disconnected the alarm so I don't have to hear it beeping all the time. I believe my only option is buying a new Porsche lock to see if that will fix all the issues.
