  1. How does one calibrate the top? I have the durametric tool and clicking "Calibrate top" just cycles the top up/down.
  2. I believe you will bleed it thru the clutch slave cylinder. Try bleeding and see if it helps.
  3. Update: I figured out how to remove them. For some crazy reason, you must turn both of them clockwise gently. Turn it so that the bottom notch lines up with the hole. Then pull them out. You may need to push it from the bottom initially. I had to take pictures to understand how this works and I am attaching few of them... hopefully it will help others looking for the same info. Picture 1: Turning clockwise almost there. Picture 2: Ready to be pulled out. Picture 3: In locked position. I replaced the serpentine belt. Man... the space is super tight there, but it is done! Cheers, -K
  4. Hello... I searched and found instructions only for 955 type Cayenne S and not for mine (2008 CS). How does one loosen the black pointy nuts? Please see attached picture. I want to make sure I do it right and not break them.
  5. What's the age of the car's battery? Perhaps, it is time to replace if it is old and has been sitting for too long.
  6. Try disconnecting the battery for 120 seconds. It should reset. At least it did that on my Cayenne. The dealer could not figure out what was wrong and was going to replace the DVD drive. I disconnected the battery and the message disappeared and Nav functioned normally.
  7. Try covering the sensor on the dash with something... the lights should turn on.
  8. Could it be the ABS working? Just a guess... On my Jeep, the ABS works overtime in snow and I hear clicking and pulsating feel in brake pedal. Do you feel anything in the brake pedal?
  9. The general rule is to get the newer Porsche you can. We just bought a 08 CS and love it! The reason I would suggest 09+ is because of the PCM 3. We could have gone w/ a base V6, but living in CO at 6000 ft and mountain drives, we needed the V8. But, once you drive the V8, you will not want to go to V6. :)
  10. Never mind. I reconnected the charged battery to the car and it fired right up!! WOOT!! :D
  11. My first post here. So, my ignition key started acting up a month or two ago and I have not driven the car for 3-4 weeks. The bad ignition key switch drained the battery. Luckily, the car was unlocked and I finally got time to replace the ignition switch part on Friday. I put the battery for charge. In the meantime, I tried to jump start using my wife's Mini and my Jeep. No luck! :( When I tried jump starting, all I hear is click-click (starter?) noise, and then all the lights light up on the dash like it is Christmas and windows try to roll down (they are already down). The hazard lights start flashing until I take the key out. Did I put the wrong ignition key part? I tried the old ignition key switch and I cannot even turn the ignition key to attempt to start the car. I got the correct switch (part number 4A0 906 849 B). I checked the serpentine belt and made sure all the pulleys spin freely. So, nothing is stuck there. What has happened to my car and what must be wrong? :( Please help!! Thanks, SK.
