  1. thx for the offer, but i bought the eibachs that gemballa offers, but i assume they are relatively close. i sure hope that i wont have to roll the fenders or anything of that nature. i may try and put some wight in the rear trunk and see how low it goes and if it touches anything
  2. y am i not running 265 instead of 275? i actually want 285 :) 5/16th is veryyy small spacer, barely enough to move the wheel out a little not to hit the shocks
  3. i got kumho exsta asx, all seasons, and my GFs brother uses them as his winter tires on his stang, with about 5-6 seasons on them, still fine and no getting stuck either. and to be honest, they are very cheap and handle really good on dry, i love them. i use them all year round. i got them for my 18s, but for 16s they will probably be cheap too, er cheaper
  4. i ordered eibach springs for my car. right now i have 18x10 rear with 275/40/18 tires, and 18x8.5 front with 225/40/18 tires. i only have spacers on the rear, but they are just 5/16 thick. when these springs are installed, will i need to get the rear fenders rolled at all or not. thx in advance here is a picture of the rear wheel
  5. yes, good point. i just want to replace the plastic window, not the top itself
  6. they are awesome i absolutely love how they changed the look of the car.
  7. thx. but still my Q remains, is it better to take the whole top off or do it while its on the car?
  8. resolve the issue. this morning i had nothing to do since it was raining so i was in garage. took the top off, took the latch out, and went to work. turns out that the spindle and the handle had to be pushed in all the way together, and there is a hole there and a pin goes trough it. the pin broke off, so there was 3 different pieces of it inside there. took everything out, lined it up, and put a new 'pin', actually a thick nail kinda pin, and its jammed in there pretty good and will not go anywhere for sure. put everything back together, just tied the bolts and latched it, no adjusting, sits so flush its not even funny, i cant believe how bad it was before. now both sides looks good, and its really tight, took it for a drive, and MUCH improvement, no wind noise or weird sounds. success. thx pk2 for the offer and PM but got it working.
  9. hi. i noticed that the passinger side latch is acting upp. today i was driving and noticed some strange wind blowing, look to the right and the latch is completely open and loose. got home, looked at it, and it seems that when i latch it up, the bottom part is actually not moving, meaning it doesnt latch up even though the handle is turned all the way and looks latched. anyone know how i can fix this or any replacement parts? btw, then the top is off and i turn the handle, the parts move, but any pressure put on the mechanism results in parts not moving (not turning). any help is appreciated. thx
  10. how tall are you? im 6.1 and its hard to sit even with the seats all the way back.
  11. so then would it be easier to take the frame off as well, and then sew in a new one? btw, anyone make the rear plastic piece tinted, or is just clear available?
  12. hi, filled up gas last other night, drove home,it was maybe a mile drive, parked the car and didn't drive it for a day. then a day later the code came, i cleared it, double checked that the gas cap is closed, and didn't come back again. does it pretty much mean that its gone, or might it show up again. i drove approximately 30 miles or so with no light back on. thx in advance...
  13. i just got my new wheels, something got screwed up with the tires so still waiting to put them on. then there was a problem and i need a 25mm spacer in the back as well....that will be here in about a week and a half. what would you guys suggest i tell the shop? anything in particular? im going from 17s to 18s, they are 8.5 front and 10 back (well technically the width of the rear ones is 11 so thats whats causing the spacer issue) i will be putting 225/40/17 front and 275/40/18 back. btw, this is on a stock suspension on a 98 2.5 thx in advance
  14. ok so i have removed my headlights quite a few times, so i know how they come off and what to do. BUT...today, the passenger side will not budge; i have no idea what is going on. i managed to take the little triangle off and look in there....will i be able to do anything to that "thick wire part" that holds it in once it clicks in with the tool? im thinking getting something to pull/push on it.... Anyone ever try to "steal their own headlight" before? hehe :P :o i dont know what to do anymore, i tried with the tool a few times and it just isnt doing much. thx in advance, any advice pertaining to this is appreciated.
  15. yeah i sprayed them in the car, i looked at a link somewhere to install the CF ones, and looks too much work. well more work than it took me to paint them in the car i didnt do the speakers because i believe that will make it look rice... interior pieces look nice, painting speakers...ehhh, no thank you. hehe
  16. here is mine done in silver, i did all the work, happy with the way it came out
  17. how long did it take you to change out the AOS?
  18. i went to the dealer and they told me that they don't make sockets that i have anymore and wanted me to buy a new set for 145 dollars. idiots. i still cant remove the ones that are on the car couse the socket is bad. ordered new set on ebay for 12 bux, including the locking one, and socket. but i went to a random shop down the street and a guy took them off for me in 5 mins
  19. man, even got a matching tow truck for her?
  20. i bought the MAF from them, came in within 2 days. GREAT NEWS! put the new MAF, reset the ECU, and the car feels better than ever. i would like to say that i gained HP, but the fact of the matter is car probably got the power back hehe, love the feel, absolutely no hesitation when gas pedal is pushed, car responds great. thx for your help guys, i know this forum saved me money, and i bet thats the case for a lot of people here, love it.
  21. well, did the test with unplugging the connector and then the battery like you said, and what do you know runs fine, no hesitation,. reversed it, and runs like sh!t. so tomorrow i will be getting the new MAf and i hope its all fixed
