  1. I have searched high and low (yes, even on e-Bay) for a new key fob. I have a 2005 Cayenne, the remote/key is prety banged up. Does anyone know of a place that sell a replacement other than the dealer? My dealer said they can cut the key on the spot and program the remote. I am just hoping to find the unit cheaper than going through the dealer.
  2. I have a 2005 Cayenne 6 speed. I am wondering if anyone knows if there is an aluminum pedals available for the Cayenne? I have seen them for the automatic, but not for a manual.
  3. I too am looking to do the same thing. I have not been able to find the part numbers.
  4. I am looking for the part number(s) for the Module for Telephone, the feature to use the SIM card in the PCM? Any ideas on prices too?
  5. I do not currently have the PCM Telephone Module in my car. I would like to have this option installed, does anyone know the part numbers and if anyone knows where I can order the part other than the dealership? How about pricing?
  6. Hi Fellow Porsche Lovers- I have a 06' 997 with black interior. I like the interior but want to personalize it a bit. I am interested in the Alcantara steering wheel, e-brake lever, and shifter found in the GT3's. I assume these will fit in my model? Does anyone have part numbers? I am looking for black with red stitching if that is an option? ;)
  7. Just thought I would provide an update: There was an actual fault when the dealer brought it up on the computer. Apparently there was some kind of broken link between the accelerator pedal and a connection. What this really means, I don't know, but it seems better now so that's all I care about. Of course it was covered under warranty so that is even better.
  8. I am wondering if anyone know if it is possible to play DVD movies on your PCM? I have Mercedes Benz E class and there was a trick you could do that would allow you to play movies on the nav unit.
  9. I now wish I would have driven it. There was snow on the ground and didn't even think twice about it being a demo, I guess I should have. I know that proper break-in is good, but I have also been told that Porsche engines are put through some passes before they are even put in the car. It is hard for me to believe that these engines are so sensitive.
  10. Is the TPMS option something that can be added as a reto-fit, my car does not have it?
  11. Thanks I appreciate the response. I have a 2001 Carrera and she seems quicker than this one so I am/was a little concerned.
  12. Hi All- I would like to get some input from fellow Porsche owners. I have been experiencing something kind of strange with my 06’ C2. It has about 1000 miles on it, I purchased it from the dealership as a demo model, the car had 700 miles on it. I am experiencing a lag in performance. It’s almost like when you drive a car with a turbo and you get that turbo lag before the turbo kicks in and you are off. I am being careful during the break-in period and not push the RPM’s past 4,300 in every gear. It just seems like the car is not moving. Any ideas, I can’t imagine this is how it is suppose to before.
  13. The problem is when I try and depress the seat heater switch on the console it does not stay on, so it is hard to say what does and does not heat up. The fuse in the fuse box looks fine. The seat is out of the car, how do I check to see if the seating element is working or getting power. Sorry, I am not very mechanically inclined. Is there a tool I can buy that will tell me?
  14. I took my 01' 996 in for its 60K maintenance a few months ago and asked them to look at the passengers’ seat as the seat heater would not work. They came back and said the switch seemed fine but they would have to pull the seat to look to see what else it could be. Needless to say they wanted to charge me a lot. I have the seat out of the car to do some other things. Is there anything I can look at to see what it could be? I really don't know where to start or what to look for.
  15. Thanks for the suggestion. I have looked at the hardware store, however it is hard to find the graphite grey color/tone. Thanks for the replay.
  16. Hi, I have a 2001 996 with Graphite Grey interior. I am updating some of the worn trim, however there are some plastic items I really don't want to have to buy new when the original part works fine. Question, does anyone know if Porsche or someone else makes touch-up paint for the INTERIOR of the car?
  17. thanks, I have worked with him in the past. I sent him an e-mail, he does not do these pieces as a core exchange :( so . . . let me know if anyone knows the OEM part numbers
  18. Does anyone have the OEM part number for this kit. The cheapest I have seen it is $399. Anyone seen it cheaper?
  19. I just did a replacement of my A/C unit to the upper part of the front console. I did not see this socket, what does it lool like?
  20. Back in 2001 I purchased a new Boxster, loved it but felt it had little power, but plenty fun to drive. This year I purchased a 2001 996 convertible and love it 10 time more. Having had both I would never go back to a Boxster.
  21. Boy do I feel stupid. I did not realize that your user name was LSU1981, I was thinking this is a funny part number. Thanks for the screen shot.
  22. Hi ScottArizona, thanks for the feedback and help. I only have two dealerships around me and both are less than helpful. I'll swing by one of them today and give them LSU1981 as a part number and see what they say.
  23. I am looking for the part number to relocate my climate control unit from the bottom of the front console to the top where I currently have dual cup-holders. I have a 01' Carrera. Does anyone have a part number for this kit.
