  1. My 996 MY 99 Manual Coupe has heated seats, I'm in Miami Fl. hence I don't need them. Planning in using the batwings switches location for USB power outlet, If I disconnect the seat heater switches from their base leaving the bases empty, would there be any any negative consequences? Thanks
  2. Uwon, The sound insulation is from Fatmat, www.fatmat.com.

  4. A long time ago when I first tried to replace the alternator/starter cable, this tube, left pic, came off of this part, red circle on right pic. Does anybody knows what it is and where it goes? I've been driving the car without this tube with no noticeable difference/consequences. Still would like to put it where it belongs.I placed a rubber cap where the tube came off from.
  5. Thanks. Rinse with a hose (although perhaps not too strong)?

  8. Hi All: Time to replace front and read break pads. MY99 C2. Don't drive it hard and not a daily driver. Any recommendations, should the break pad sensors be replaced as well?
  9. invius, check this post: http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic/29210-picture-or-drawing-showing-the-ground-strap-from-body-to-engine/?hl=%2Bground+%2Bstrap It worked fine but did not solve the problem a 100%. I don't use the car too often. Lately is acting up a little in that respect, shooting to replace the cable in this post: http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic/45408-alternator-voltage/?hl=%2Bground+%2Bstrap#entry246087. Here is the DIY for the above cable. http://www.renntech.org/forums/tutorials/article/351-alternator-starter-motor-cable-replacement/ Hope this help.

  11. Thanks for the info. Once the camera is installed on the rear ( bumper or licence plate), how do you route the cables (power/video) from the camera install location to where the camera connects to the power and video cables?
  12. I've read mostly all the posts in regards to how to wire a rear camera but I have not seen how to wire the camera once installed. In other words, need help on how to wire the camera from the license area to the tail lights. Already installed a Pioneer dvd, located the reverse signal under the driver's seat, etc. Just need help on how to wire the camera from the license plate area to either side of the tail lights. Thanks

  14. Hi All: I have a PST2 clone (IBM600e), and would like to be able to print reports. As you know PST2 is based on Windows 3.11. Presume the printer should be a parallel printer. It's been a very long time the last time I dealt with Windows 3.11. Does it has generic printer drivers? Thanks
