  1. The best you can do ( if you have time ) the car on a flat level, drain the oil, remove the oil filter and let drip overnight. Install the drain and the filter, you can fill easily 8,25 liter motor oil.
  2. Indeed that's the tool, looks unused to me Tool Pants !!
  3. Thanks for the info there was an electromotor attached at the other end of the resistor last week, the parts number was correct, probably an error in the parts dept. I take a look tomorrow, thanks again.
  4. The standard bulb is 55W H7 for the head lights also available as BLUE VISION from PHILIPS for a more bluish light or you can make a conversion to xenon if you want. I never seen burning lenses when using the standard bulb.
  5. Great, is the resistor still available in the US than?
  6. After watching your pics it looks normal to me that you can't press the pedal all the way in, the pressure plate is already pressed in after installing, the diaphragm fingers are too deep. Possible causes are clutch disc too thick or installed in the wrong direction ( transmission side installed facing the flywheel ) or wrong type pressure plate.
  7. The resistor is a part of the fan, not available separately.
  8. Are you sure that the calipers are mounted correctly, the pistons not stuck and the wheels turns free without resistance? Are the measurements axial and lateral of the disc and the hub within the specifications? If yes try with original parts.
  9. You need a special tool to keep the camshafts in place. The shafts are bolted to the head just behind the timing chains, the rest is hold by the cover. It can happen that the timing chain jumps over or that the shaft breaks if you remove the cover without the tool. If you decided to remove the cover without the tool, be sure that the cylinder nearest the timing chain is on his TDC end compression stroke. I have no pics sorry, it's all from the head.
  10. pk2 I think in your case that both extensions get stuck in their guides, remove the spoiler upper cover and loose the 2 allen bolts a little so that the extensions can be centered by themselves. Try again till the spoiler works fine, fasten the bolts and retry, repeat when necessary.
  11. Mother The engine number stamped on the crankcase/oil pan admit the characters AT which means AusTausch = Exchange. For example 96/xATxxxxxx.
  12. Yes, make a loop with a jumper cable between the + and the - cables when DISCONNECTED from the BATTERY.
  13. The bellows is a rubber tube which connect the air-oil separator with the crankcase behind cylinder 3 ( on the left rear wheel inside area )
  14. I can be wrong but i think that the clutch parts and the fly wheel have not the same measures as the original. You can take a look if all the parts are installed correctly to start with.
  15. Airbag system can only reset with PIWIS or similar tool, disconnecting the battery give no result.
  16. You need a PIWIS tester in ACTUAL VALUES mode for further examination and testing, otherwise it will become a guess.
  17. Disconnect the battery ( + cable and - cable as well ), connect the loose + and the loose - cable with a jumper cable ( take care that the cables have no contact with the battery ) for approx. 30 minutes, reconnect the battery and try again.
  18. As far as i remember is the outer thread size of a tyre valve stem 8.00 x 0.80 mm. Go to a tyre center, they have a special tool to rectify the outer and inner thread.
  19. rseller Is the car European or is the DME reprogrammed to Euro norm ? It's only a question, no need to answer that. Regards.
  20. There is only one connection you have to disconnect, the ambient temp. sensor for the air conditioning, which is located on the bottom side of the black plastic trim under the wipers. The rain sensor connection ( if you got one ) in the inner rear mirror area can stay in place, disconnection is not really needed if you leave the interior trim on the A-pillars and upper cross member in place, while cutting the front windscreen out with a metal string. I don't no which system they have used, but you can always take a look behind the right A-pillar trim.
  21. The last generation O rings are larger, that's why he needs new PLASTIC tubes.
  22. The car have got a rear impact, and only the alternator have damage? I should the car inspect more punctual if i was you.
  23. Frank 948 106 059 05 group of 3 tubes = in stock. 948 106 049 07 big tube = in back order, delivery time in 5 work days ( reference car out of running ). The engine stays in place for ALL the tubes. The problem appears after approx. 5 years or + 100.000 km, amazing that this issue is unknown in Holland.
  24. As far as i know, the radio and GPS antenna's are located in the rear roof spoiler.
  25. This is a very strange situation all V8 engines have that issue sooner or later, they should now better. Stays the car in a Pon establishment? I let you now tomorrow what's happen with the back order, a normal back order time is 5 work days for Holland if the parts are in stock in Germany. Regards.
