Does anyone have the procedure for painting the interior pieces. I would like to know what is involved, sanding, prime, spray, clear if any.
Which arctic silver to use?
Any advice would be helpful.

is there a horsepower gain in the FABspeed vs PSE that is reported to have no gain?
-
Looks good, probably going down the same road.

Ok, now I am confused. The T2 rims are 10" not 11". What is you question?
Lesson learned, stuck them on, sticks out an inch, looks rediculous. Anyone need a brand new set of Turbo 2's?
I will be looking to fix this, this week. Loren was right at the tire it is 12inch wide apply that to that on the car, it will function fine, no clearance issues at all, its the overall look that lets you down.

Forgot to mention that I run 285-30 on my 10" rims......both my Sport Designs and my Carrera Lightweights. The GT3 has the 11" rim and runs the 295 rubber (just uses a 63ET versus the 65ET).
285's on the same Turbo look 2 rear rim 11".
-
Won't fit on an 11" rim. Max size is a 10.5" rim for that 265.
LVDELL,
Would 285's solve my problem?
Or would i be in the same shape regardless?
-
Unless you have the 63ET wheels why would you want to run the 295 rubber? For the 65ET run the 285 or 265 rubber.
265's not a problem on the turbo look2 rim?
-
they came on the Wheel, I wonder if I could get the rubber swapped out to the smaller size and be ok.

Note that it also says on (page 3) that the approved wheel offset is 63 mm (not 65 mm) AND "Footnote 3. The wing seam and if necessary the rear spoiler must be reworked on vehicles up to and including M.Y. 2001. See note on page 8."
If i have wheels with an offset of 65 is that going to be an issue?
I do not have a spoiler, wing seam?

Has anyone put this size 295/30/18 on their 1999 C2?
Do they look right, the TSB says they are approced but holy cow, they look a little wide.

And the PSE sounds Vs say the FABSPEED sound?
I have two Fabspeed mufflers on my 996C2. They sound great and are of a very decent build-quality. Unlike PSE they are in stainless-steel.
That's something to think about. So then you might end up paying for the cool ability to turn it on and off. Which I do think is one of the greatest features of the PSE.
-
I'm sold, what is a good price for it?
-
Afford them? What are they asking?
$5000.00
-
Really? That is odd. But if you talked to Justin then I believe it. I have dealt with him on several occasions. Just not sure I understand the rationale for desiging wheels. Didn't think dealerships designed their own wheels, especially when they are extremely similar to an existing wheel (the sprot designs).
Yeah I just wish I could afford them now.

Huh? Brandywine is a dealer not a manufacturer.
I think I located the userID of the guy that has those rims. On rennlist his ID is RJMAD996. He may be on this board too.
Nope Confirmed they worked with Champion Motorsports and designed their own wheel, Spoke with Justin at the dealership.
-
Does anyone have any experience with both 18" & 19" wheels on their 996?
How much does it effect the ride, are there any consistent dangers in going with a 19" over an 18"
Any advice would be helpful.
-
I just found out they are from Brandywine. Brandywine Type One Rims.
-
Another solution might be a new Kenwood unit that's out. its a double DIN format, but has a bit of 'ricer' look to it in my opinion.

That one looks really good.
-
I have seen those on eBay before. Not sure of the brand but I know one of the guys on the rennlist 996 forum bought them so you might want to post there as well.
What are the wieghts on those suckers?
Rears are supposed to be 20lbs. I'm bumming becasue I bought a set of brand new Turbo Look 2's and I really should have held out for something different for a little more money.
-
How much is the Fabspeed compared with the PSE?
-
When there are people lining up to buy them for $1500- $2000++ why not? that's part of being the most profitable car company in the world. Take a standard muffler add $25 worth of pipe and valves then sell it for 2-4X as much as the stock muffler....
Hey DJ, what's that?

Funny I was just going to post the same question. I just did the B&M SSK. This site is amazing.
