  1. Or you can do it the Toolpants way! Flathead screwdriver and muscle!!! :jump:
  2. Nevermind, I looked at the manual and it says that DYN Audio is the one on mine. I'll try it again and see if there is a difference.
  3. OK, I have an '03 Non-Bose system. When I press the Sound Button I get...Treble, Bass, Fader, Loudness, Dynamic Audio. No Auto Pilot. Could it be the Dynamic Audio? I had that one once and didn't notice any difference.
  4. GHETTO PICTURES 'click' HERE! Loren can change oil in his sleep!
  5. Yes, it will work in a boxster. I think the targa switch should fit? If not i'm sure there is a boxster switch out there you can use. Mini remotes can be used, but it's more difficult to solder the wire since the area is smaller.
  6. OK, as an update for the Garage door mod. It IS possible to have two openers on one switch. Sharky and I tried this the other day and it works like a charm. Click one way for the front gate and then click the other way for the garage door. You need to combine the Negative wires from both openers and connect it to the center spade on the switch. Then connect each positive wire one to the inner left spade and the other positive to the inner right spade. The teo outer spade are for lighting the switch up. Simple Targe Roof Switch can control two remotes when wired properly.
  7. Gary, I don't know about the hack but wanted to ask you about the quality of the MA Shaw wing?
  8. WORK ON CAR PICTURES! Doesn't Jeff look cool? Ray's new Cluster Jeff getting me some Xenon Lights. Thanks Jeff!
  9. The Tint I have, Huper Optik, is a ceramic Tint and is said to be better for V1, Cell Phones and whatever else you might have since it contains no metals. With that said on my older car I had normal tint and didn't notice a difference in performance.
  10. Poursha CRAP! That was a typo on my part! ACK! Gotta change the directions quickly now! Thanks for the correction...
  11. OK, I did the side markers flashing Mod. For those that don't know what this mod is, it's when you side markers flash with your turn signals. Simulated .Gif Link to Instructions
  12. I have the Lexus SUV and I can say that my tint has a slight reflection, but not like the Lexus. I think the back of the Lexus has a darker % tint on the window. I don't know if taking the window out is any better or worse. I would worry about window rattle sounds though since it could be looser on the hinges after being removed. I only had to leave the windows up for a day and parked it in the sun to speed up the drying process.
  13. Jimmy This is from a Post from Don.. http://www.iwfa.com/iwfa/Law_Chart/State%20Law%20Chart.htm That Said... I had my windows tinted at Automall Tint Factory in Fremont. I had 50% Huper Optik Ceramic tint done on all windows.
  14. Try this link http://gallery.rennlist.com/gallery/albur35
  15. I am zipping my lips....but I almost fell on the floor!
  16. You could use the window switch, but (I think) it only has power when the car is on and when you turn off the car the windows only has power for a few minutes or until a door is opened. The Lighter socket has constant power all the time.
  17. It shouldn't be that difficult, all dependant on your opener. I would imagine you'd just need to connect two more wires. One positive and one negative. I see 2 issues... 1. The power from the light or where ever you connect it to your car has too much voltage and fry's your opener. 2. If you're connecting it to the light it would have to be on for the garage door opener to work/get power. I would connect it to something that has constant power like the lighter socket. Those are the only issues I can think of. The batteries of the opener should last a long time, I just find it easier and safer to change the battery.
  18. Jeff We'll take pictures at our next DIY day. I took it apart once, I can do it again!
