  1. Ray Yes, only the light comes off (Green items) everything else will slide out the front. I remember there are two tabs to pry back, but you have to pry and hold or they won't be loose. I think I used two screw drivers. Pryed one tab back, held it back with a screw driver and then pryed the second one back. I don't remember exactly where the tab placements are, but they are on the black piece I've arrowed. Just try prying the two sides of the black piece and see if the socket will slide out the front. Like I said previously, there might be a slight turn/twist involved.
  2. haha I'm not a good phone tech guy. I can't even tell my mom how to turn on her computer by phone. From what I can remember the lighter socket pulls out from the front. I just remember that there were two tabs....Maybe a slight twist? Ray do you see a slit or slot anywhere? I'm trying to remember if I pulled the black tabs back and did a slight twist. Ah, it's driving me nuts, i'm almost tempted to go down and pull mine out...if I weren't so darn lazy...ugh...arghhh
  3. Yup! This beauty can be yours for the not-so-bargin price of $72,500! Not exactly the deal of the century, but I gaurantee the car is in excellent condition! ;) I'm actually thinking about keeping the car. I like it! :jump:
  4. Jeff you have bad memory. I was the one that removed Ray's Lighter socket! I just pryed the black section back slowly and carefully. On the socket there are clips the hold it in.
  5. geoff I don't think splicing into two wires is going to void your warranty. I mean if you get an oil leak or something I doubt they could blame it on the splicing of the wires. To be safe I would ask your service advisor about it, I don't they'd mind this simple hack. Just my 2cents
  6. Yup, Like Jeff said, just start prying....but be careful not to scratch the rest of the Dash. I found it best to start from the bottom corners and pry.
  7. Welcome to the board! And Welcome to the Bay Area when you finally move.
  8. I bought it from Suncoast, but it's made in LA I believe. Reason I bought from Suncoast was it's the same price, but since Suncoast is out of state (FL) no Tax and free shipping. Here's a link: http://www.dasschild.com
  9. You should sell it to a Junk yard or a salvage place. They'd probably give you $ for it depending on the damage...
  10. $242.95 seems like a lot. I think I for mine for $170 or somewhere near there.
  11. Someone on another forum is selling a Stock Seal Grey Hood... http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/showthr...=&threadid=4729
  12. maybe they can sell me the car at 1/3 the price since it is a mistake?
  13. Did they ever figure out what they're going to do with that car? Are they still selling it with the Tip Wheel?
  14. Did it have Xenons? I know what they can do with those! =)
  15. here's mine I bought it from Suncoast, but it's made in LA I believe. Reason I bought from Suncoast was it's the same price, but since Suncoast is out of state (FL) no Tax and free shipping. I think they fixed the paint damage around the edges. There is a lot of foam around and behind the shield so the plastic never really touches the car anymore. Here's a link: http://www.dasschild.com
  16. that's a cool install, but doesn't look "factory" enough for me...but that's just me. =)
  17. Does anyone have a picture of the Targa Switch? If it looks cool I'll just switch mine out.
  18. You can look in the Garage at my car, I did the Mod or you can check out this site... Garage Door Mod Link I used the Targa Roof switch.
  19. :jump: The rubber grommet is there for center balance for the front of the car. remove it and your car will either pull to the right ot left at freeway speeds! heh heh
