  1. I purchased the tire warranty for $650 which covers me for 5 years. It will cover the tire or the rim if bent. I had a flat in my last car and it cost me $425 installed for a Michelin PS2 235/35/19. I figure if I hae a flat or bend a rim it is well worht the money.
  2. The Rev limiter kicks in and doesn't allow the over - revving. Porsche doesnt want to have to replace the engine because you downshifted accidentally.
  3. On my MY05 987 S, I have 12732 on mine. I want to drive it more I am really busy. Last March it only had 4200 miles. I sold my other car and drove it for a while and managed to put 6K on it. Now it just sits all the time again as I bought another vehicle.
  4. Mine was built in '04 but it is definately an '05 987.
  5. check this out http://www.harmankardon.com/drive-1/ Thanks for the information but I am looking for a non FM modulated device. The Dension is the one for me. The bluetooth makes me decide to purchase ASAP.
  6. Today while looking at the Dension site for information about the ICELINK 500 for MY '05 Boxster S with PCM 2.1,NAV and CD Changer, I noticed information for a BLUETOOTH module. It is the Desion BT1000 and it appears to be my Audio solution for my IPOD and bluetooth. This adaptor will, as it appears from the photo, to transmit to your bluetooth phone. However, there is no information on the site as of yet with full details. I need to understand if the audio regarding the bluetooth will come through all of my speakers and how will it affect the music when it is activated. I also wanted to know if it is being added to the Dension 500 or becomes an option. If so, will the music stop playing and then resume once I disconnect the call? First thing I did was to send Eric-the plug guy an email to find out more. He said details are to be released soon but the module is not out yet. I think this will at the least satisfy some of my primary concerns regarding BLUETOOTH and Audio. I am hoping that there will be another group buy very soon for the Dension 500. If you are interested, please contact me. :notworthy: Has anyone found out about this BT1000 module? If so, please enlighten me.
  7. $1,000?!! Just to have satellite radio? Pa-leez ... Burn a few CD's and spend the money elsewhere. Yeah but trying to listen to the radio or a CD just isnt the same a SAT radio. I am haviing withdrawals because I really miss SAT radio. The sound is so much better and the options regarding prorammin. I concur $1000 is expensive but it would solve my audio issues. Really trying to decide if I should add the Desio for my IPOD or just the SAT. I read somewhere that you could hook both up together. I never actually got the firm answer on how it was acheived.
  8. How is this unit much differnet from the Dension unit? In fact, the dension unit is chepar and has far more options. It has the AUX option, USB and IPOD already included. :lightbulb: You may want to look that one over before making a final decision.
