  1. Hi Gator, I'm having the same problem, and I removed the panel behind the rear seats in my MY2000 Cab, but I can't seem to find where the rear relays are. Any help would be greately appreciated! I'm stuck! Is it that I'm looking in the wrong place? Is the ignition relay in the front? Thanks! Kabir
  2. Hi Izzy, Seems like I'm having the same problem. Where are the relays located? Thanks!
  3. This is an incredible story about a guy "borrowing" a Turbo and pushing it harder than a cop has ever seen before... http://www.newsday.com/news/nationworld/wi...0,6580415.story
  4. Chuck, You have me all freaked out about this! I have the same color 996, similar "hot smell" from time to time, the same occaisional beep from the horn when locking the car (nothing is open), and I recently added cupholders to the dash and moved my AC unit down to the bottom. While moving the AC unit, I noticed that some of the existing wiring at the bottom of the center console was not taped properly. I'm not sure if this is from the previous owner not taking the proper precautions or something else. Anyway, I did what I could to tape the exposed wires, but I was so nervous after reading your post that I went online an ordered a Halon Extinguisher just to be safe. Thankfully, you were not hurt and, at least, some sort of lesson can come from your misfortune. I wish you good luck on your search for a TT. Thanks for sharing your story with us! Kabir
  5. MonkeyDust, You can get a Hood Release Handle from The Los Angeles P Car Dismantler. http://www.911pcar.com/Porsche_Parts/porsc...teriors_996.htm This is a great place to get "hard to find" parts. Good Luck! Kabir
  6. Here's the part number P/N 996.552.339.00.01C and the link to where I got mine... http://www.eagleday.com/9962.html
  7. I just got a silver Carrera emblem for my trunk and I wanted to know how to remove the original matte black one without damaging the paint. Thanks!
  8. I just bought the OEM retrofit cupholders for my 2000 C2 Cab and I was wondering if someone has posted install instructions for this? I couldn't find any while doing a search. Thanks!
