  1. Question - does anybody have wiring diagram for PCM3 (2009) connectors (main square connector where all fiber and copper wires go) by part numbers i am looking for wiring diagram of cable 955.647.219.25 (bluetooth) , 997.044.902.43 (Ipod?) ? P.S. things i have learned PCM3 Navigation disks form different region would not update. I now have spare European map Database for Europe for PCM3
  2. moni from nav-tv claimed his unit works back in August. people still selling his units (priced at 1600 is too much for me). i dont know what the reliability is but if one can make a connector to replace OEM solution ($400+) for ($50) with all the OEM functionality (charge, playlists, control from steering wheel etc) why bother with anything else?
  3. 6speedonline has a topic with a very happy guy who added PCM3 OEM. It is MOST solution (FM transmitter is PCM 2.1 solution). Dension doesnt support PCM3 (you can buy and try but i doubt). Your other alternative is Nav-tv media solution (bluetoth, input for reverse camera, + IPOD connector (oem parts) for which they ask $1600. if that seems too much go to Sunset parts and buy OEM for $400 something. if you want a cheap alternative to OEM i ll have schematics next week so you can manufacture it yourself (you will still need PIWIS coding but that is the case with OEM solution)
  4. there is OEM kit that works well, charges IPOD, USB aux input. cheapest of them all at around $400
  5. Ha-ha-ha! you complain? Try Cayenne where 80% of parts are VW/Audi and are sold by Porsche for 2x price that you get if you buy from VW directly...
  6. there also a bunch of people with PCM 2 that had to wait 5 years 2003 - 2008 for European map updates which now cost more than brand new full featured better looking navigation device. you should run a poll for them too. gotta say as good as these cars are in driving as bad they are in all stuff electronic
  7. mine shows 1.10 but my guess there is later version of DVDs that are in parts catalog. ask your dealer
  8. i dont see any second battery on MY09. is it only in early models?
  9. 996c4s. dealer replaced clutch and RMS billed 5 hours. Car is back at dealer 2 years later as rms leaks again. you may want to think about it. OEM porsche parts have 2 year warranty. if you need to replace RMS i would take it to dealer only for warranty purposes
  10. oil change not at Porsche dealer doesnt void warranty. check your warranty booklet. these parts of course are cheap and easy to install yourself (15 min max)
  11. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...=europe++import ----- Hi there, After three years in the US, it will soon be time for me to go back to France. Both my 996 and my SL55 will come back with me. I'm trying to figure out all the modifications that will need to be done to get them compliant. Has anyone ever gone through this before? I read several posts of cars brought from the US to the UK, but I'm wondering if someone has some experience with continental Europe and France in particular. So far, I believe the two following things need to be done: - modify the sidemarkers to blink with the turning lights. There are several posts on this, but they all point to a link that no longer works. Does anyone has a DIY or a working link? - modify the fog lights to have them working on both sides. Again, several posts, but links are dead or pictures are gone. Does anyone have something I may use? - what else? I read on a post that the inspection also controls that the tire size is same as OEM. That was in the UK, is it true in other places? --------------- no ------------- - I know this is a P-car forum, but any advice on the SL would be greatly appreciated :) I also plan to replace my gauges to get km/h instead of mph. Tool Pants posted a DYI in 2004, but the pictures are gone. Does anyone have another link or saved the pictures? ----------------- dont have to ---------------- Finally, do you know an importer I may work with to pick up my cars and bring them back and maybe help with the prep? Thanks in advance. i can only recommend one in Fos sur Mer. where you are shipping? Le havre is the cheapest destination from memory
  12. doesnt matter - springs on the sides. pull out light lense (it might be in you manual as you need to be able to change thouse light bulbs). there are two screws there. i have two more under storage for glasses (dont know if you have that)
  13. sorry, didnt realize the effort involved. lock please if that is ok?
  14. how would it start without immobilizer? P.s is it possible to program 3 or 4 working keys for Cayenne? i remember carrera had 4 positions
  15. cayenne T 2009 if diagram not out yet 2008 will do. looks like the same part number
  16. any metal part of the body is your ground (door latch, bolt...)
  17. There should be a positive terminal in fuse box in driver footwell (lookup in your manual at least there is one in my 03).
  18. what is the wire assignment of the wiring loom for a rear door (speakers 2, door look, unlock)? many thanks
  19. That is a bit too late for him as he cannot open the trunk.. no? Well, if you open it with another battery then sure or if you have manual gearshift just push it downhill and off you go... to the nearest Autozone but just for reference I put battery charger (7A) to charge my half-dead battery (11V - so it was still able to start the engine but just barely) and it took about 24 hours to get it to a charged state. So tricle charge overnight is nothing...
  20. hehe you would think so, and in America it probably is, but in Norway a new Cayenne S cost 200.708,- $ and a Turbo costs 290.000,- $. A used Cayenne S with all options is worth around 89.000,- $. So that's quite a difference ;-) just buy US version and send it Norway (will be about $3k shipping cost + $1k homologation cost)
