  1. Recently picked up a 2007 997TT. Loving the car except for one thing. The Navigation will not get past the "Starting Navigation" screen. It's grabbing satellites so I don't think it's a antenna connection issue. I removed and reinserted the disk in frunt and tried a soft reboot. Any help? J.D.
  2. Loren I have the same question. Thanks
  3. Go powdercoated. Very tough, looks great and will stand up better than paint. I had a set of tips done in black and it was only $50 and that included the blasting to prep the surface......... J.D.
  4. I did a Getty Design (gettydesign.com) "Aero Splitter" that makes a stock bumper look like a GT3 without changing the bumper. The quality and fit was great. It required very little prep at the body shop (save $'s). I highly recommend it if you like the look and want to go add on rather than replace. J.D.
  5. To all: Does anyone know where I might be able to find the 4 brackets that are used for mounting the seat back shells from the Sport Seat Conversion kit shown below in the pics? Nobody domestically seems to carry the kits anymore and I spoke to the good folks in Italy today who build them and they do not sell the mounting hardware alone (now that's customer service). There are two left hand brackets and two right hand brackets used to fasten the shells to the top of the original seats in the opening where the seat back release lever is. Thanks in advance for your help. J.D.
  6. Found it! Thanks Loren for the great info in the DIY section. I think the hardest part is behind me, finding the instructions! John
  7. I'm planning on painting a few interior items on my my99 996 cab Arctic Silver. I've searched around looking for a post that will tell me how to remove the door speaker grills but I haven't been able to find anything yet. Can someone point me in the right direction? Also, I'm still looking to understand what I should expect when I try to pry off the center surround for the radio/AC/AC vent. I think it will come off in three separate pieces but I'm not sure exactly what's the best way to get them off and if the AC vent comes off with the center part........... Thanks in advance for your help. This site is a unreal resource. John
  8. Anyone? I'm afraid to start pulling and prying because I'm not sure what should come off. All one piece? 2 side pieces and one on top? Does the top piece require that I pull the AC vents as well? Please help before I break something! Thanks. J.D.
  9. Loren: I'd like to paint my current center console surround on my 1999 cab. I understand from this post that it's 3 pieces but I can't find any posting on how to remove and reinstall them. Can you help? Also, am I in for the fun ride of trying to get the lighter out as well? Thanks in advance for your help. J.D.
  10. OK, I've search this site along with "the others" and I can't find instructions on how to remove the stock motorized wing on my 1999 996 cab. I just got my fixed wing from Getty Design today and some insight on how to get the old one off would be great. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I suspect I'm search challanged. It's hard to believe it wouldn't be out there already but I can't find it. Thanks! J.D.
