  1. Yup, yours has by the sounds of it try your phone does this mean my cayenne has bluetooth?
  2. the thing you dont see is the need for a completely new vehicle wiring harness. each car has vin specific wiring Can you just remove original lamps and replace w/ these xenons? Are they plug and play or do they require changes to computer/wiring/etc? Thanks by looking at the parts catalog its headlights, wiring harness and maybe relay that show as different part numbers depending on xenon or normal lights (there is also control unit for xenon which is screws to the headlight unit underneth
  3. Don't even go there expect to spend thousands Can you just remove original lamps and replace w/ these xenons? Are they plug and play or do they require changes to computer/wiring/etc? Thanks
  4. Never use injector cleaner there is no need, its only got 30K miles, maybe at 230K miles Air filters are not normally due yet but you can take them out and look at them, see my gallery on rennlist for instructions Heavy pedal will do it, but tire pressures are my bet, check them soon
  5. watch when you start up is generally gives you a screen message before the ! Can be almost anything, from a light bulb to a towing fault, or service indicator
  6. It sounds like like a reasonable assumption as we just got a similar one for 04's covering half the american north and south continents Cost here was $299 US from the dealer
  7. yes PM it to me, but all that gives me is delivery equipment
  8. Open the rear glass, with that open you can see the 3 TORX screws, take them out and close the glass then carefully lift the top of the spoiler off, its on a neoprene seal so it takes a slight effort to get it started. My gallery on Rennlist has pictures Mike
  9. Depends on what you were trying to to. If its fun you want turn off PSM and keep the revs high BUT if your on 19/20/22 tires forget it, your cross section footprint makes the car too light to get any traction, try 18's with decent tires. The Ford has very narrow tires for its size and focus's its already huge weight on the road its bound to be better. 17's are what you really want but they will not fit the brakes on a TT
  10. yes dont understand. you can look up whether i have a homelink option from vin? (because i know very well which mirror i have - not dim, heated+memory+foldable)
  11. I got the blower motor underneath the passenger side glovebox for about 160US, try Sunset Parajed: I would try to determine whether a VW cousin (Touareg) has the same blower motor, but with a different part number. It would probably cost less than 1/2 what the Porsche dealer wants for it. I know that on a 986 Boxster, there is an equivalent motor made for a Jetta Wagon by the same manufacturer (Valeo) for 1/3 the price. Does your defective blower motor have any factory markings on it, from either Valeo or VW? Regards, Maurice.
  12. The heating and AC is generally noisy, I know of no easy fixes
  13. So its not the fuel pumps going thru pre flight ?
  14. For beach/sand work you should not need to lock anything, just turn off PSM and keep the revs high. The locks are more for rock climbing. Its a bit scary with all the noise but it works. The faster you go the better. Third time is the longitudinal lock (locks front and rear together), one thing I have found that is *really* annoying is that if you should engage the PASM and traction control while the longitudinal diff's are locked it will "unlock" them. I found this out the hard way when I had trouble getting up a really long steep sandy hill. I would reverse back, engage all the diff locks then try to power up the hill. As the car started swaying a little in the sand tracks and losing traction, the PASM and traction control would engage and unlock centre diff, end result car slows down and gets bogged. Although you can turn off (mostly) the PASM, traction control cannot be disabled. Took a few attempts to get up, but made it in the end. Although as far as I can tell, there is no way the car can put itself out of low-range, it's only when you go all the way to diff lock that the car can unlock itself. Unfortunately it doesn't give you any warning either (you just have to notice the little lights on the centre selector). I have confirmed that this is the correct behaviour for the vehicle. I bet this is the problem you were having. BTW my car is a 2003 turbo, but I assume the controls and systems are the same in the later models. Cheers Darrin Smith
  15. Thats probably to avoid motor startup current problems which may blow the fuse on the outlet in the back, but as thats cheap I would try it to see what happens. If it works for a day then I would use that. You can get from there to the outside using a grommet in the rear on the same side as the CDC, thats where the tow wiring goes.
  16. I put Zimmerman drilled rotors with Hawk HBS dustless pads, they work fine for me and I am about the same as your driving habits. Clean wheels are a great plus
  17. I have Sirius on my 04. I use a Mobridge Unit to connect to the PCM and use a standard Sirius mobile reciever. Total cost of the parts will be $600. It works VERY well and sound quality is high You will not get a plug in for the 04 PCM that will work, it was not capable of taking the recievers that were not available
