    Lots of people do this. You can buy kits and replacement PORSCHE decals, it looks good in red

    It would not help you to much since the wire to the amp is Fibre using the sub lines and a converter is by far the easiest way to add another amp. To get the side panel off is a major excersise but it can be done.

    You cannot buy the kit without the pads from the dealer anymore, sounds like a con to me, try a VW parts dealer

    I hae the Porsche full liner in back, the one that protects the sides and rear of the seats also. It is slippery but I bought a non slip under rug mat from Target and cut it to size with no slippage anymore Do you know who makes the Porsche factory mat, Weathertech or Husky maybe? I have the weathertech in other cars and love it but was curious about comparisons to Husky if anyone has that brand cargo liner. Specifically, is it hard and things slide like the factory mat? Thanks!

    That was not true, all us 04 people had it done, although there was a difficult line to draw since a lot of 04's were renamed 03's anyway (you can tell by VIN lookup) Pardon me , please tell me what is "Quality Improvement Workshop Campaign" , my is a cpo used car ,is it still under warranty? thanks again The "Quality Improvement Workshop Campaign" was a series of fixes that were applied to early Cayenne's. Dealers were supposed to apply these updates/fixes at the next service. Depending on your VIN and your car's options there could be up to 40 Workshop Campaign fixes that should have been applied. If you have a CPO then they should have done these before they delivered the car to you. If they did not then they owe them to you. I talked to the dealer, they said for the rear windows, the Quality Improvement Workshop Campaign only apply to 03 but not 04. any suggestion? can I fix it myself? thanks

    the wheels came from a Turbo S or powerkit Cayenne Turbo Parking Brake sensor not releasing, under dash. Or turn it on and off a few times

    what version of PCM software is on your system ? Hit home and info, it needs to be version 3.0 It could also be that nothing needs to be updated. If your on 3.0 just insert your region map disc. I received the same box with that part number on it from my dealer. I insterted the update cd marked cayenne and nothing happened....?? Do I need to somehow command the PCM unit to read the update? THANKS!

    that is correct I have not done this but here is what the service manual says. 1. Open rear window and pull off cover caps from the fastening screws. 2. Removing upper part of rear spoiler. Unscrew fastening screws (3 I think) from inside. 3. Remove upper part of rear spoiler backwards and upwards. Nothing in there anyway... ;)

    initially I used OEM but changed to Hawk HBS dustless pad and love them. I just changed my rears to Hawks also. me not likee brake dust I also changed my front rotors to Zimmerman drilled, they look much better

    Well a reset may have cleared it but that fault is a strange one. I first had it 2 weeks from new and the compressor did not go till 70K Good luck

    its in the manual, something like left side fusebox, number 17, but you need to check the inside of the fuse cover for the location and the manual for the number the single cd works withe the nav disc or any cd and nav system is ok, when I put in a magazine you can hear the changer load, then I press the cdc button and no dics avail. I have tried a dozen different cds and no luck. even filpped them just to make sure they were not in upside down. thanks josh

    Does the NAV system work and read the disc ?

    The last I checked it was $150 per section, pdf format. Total over $1200 Loren, anything to add ?

    I am pretty sure that you will need to remove the whole cover to get the valance of without breaking anything. Apart from the lights (which need some care)its not hard to get it off My rennlist gallery has photos of the procesdure Mike

    My 04 has had a replacement front compressor (under warranty) and a new front strut (also about $1500) If it fails, you will end up with the front or back fully down and drivable at 5mph, or a flatbed. I am amazed they said just use it as is. The compressors are always working and unless they suspect a false reading, I would spend the money.

    1 - Yes they should be able to tell if a service action was performed although some delaers run on 2 systems 2 - No but Loren does I think 3 - I think it would be easier to list the subject matter that would be the subject of TSB's as they change a lot over the years. I would start with Rear Washer Nozzle (Drip) Cardan Shaft (Vibration) Rear Hatch and Flip support struts DME Version Control Units (Software Versions) Keys (Range Extension) Headlight Moisture control Rear Seatbelts (do not get done, its awefull) Steering Column I am sure there are more, need somewone else to chip in here

    For those who have 04/05 MY PCM 2.0 units (CD Nav). I just got the new map updates and installed them. There are now 7 CD's covering the US, Canada Mexico and Brazil. I really need to travel more. There is one update CD which seems phone related, at least when inserted it does a phone update to my non-phone PCM, a bit like being able to play the violin after getting a tooth out. This completes quickly, you then insert whatever map CD you normally use and it carries out the update. You need to run the engine as there have been published warnings of not trying to update when power may be lost. I think this release may not have been voluntary, a little bird told me. From what I can tell my local roads seem more detailed and PIO is more usable with even local food stores now showing up together with a nearby vin yard. Here is the rub....... $299 plus tax, I got mine from the great guys at Sunset Imports Look out for dealers trying to sell for more than $500 (seriously) Part number is 000.044.901.21 Mike
