  1. Mobridge with Integrated Parrot BT is shipping in small quantities, although I am not on an 08, the audio integration on thru my PCM is very good. The Parrot mic is also very nice.

  3. its easy, no special tools do a search
  4. I thought it would have been there but its not. I will see if it has any number on it Thanks Mike
  5. thanks Loren, no its not must be body mechanical, It seals the gap between the inboard side of the lights over the join between the fender metal and the front cross member top.
  6. Can you replace the rubber surround seals on the headlight units. Mine are looking ragged. Also the wedge seal between the light inboard and the body. Part numbers if they are available please loren
  7. Point of clarification With the PSM turned off, its not actually off. Try to take the car outside of its safe operating envelope and it kicks back in real quick. The PSM off also remaps the transmission, it will change up, just keep your foot down hahaaha Hi, My 05 CTT does the same - when you kick-down it actually makes you wonder if the car is asking "oh you want to go faster?" for a second, and then takes off like a rocket after shifting down 2 gears...this can be hazardous in overtaking attempts...so indeed I put it in manual or use the tip and shift down 2 gears before flooring it... I've also noticed with the PSM off, the car shifts noticeably faster, but doesn't upshift anymore (at least in high gears as described below/ I need to verify that) Only downside to driving with PSM off is you disable all safety measures. So no, I'm also not happy with the response to the gaspedal - note that my transmission shifts very smoothly, no issues there. I might go for a testdrive with one of the newer models to see if it behaves in the same way. To me, this is the biggest turn-off for the car, especially when comparing eg with the new BMW X5 I wish some of the tuners would come out with their own "sporty transmission" update. Cheers, G.
  8. its on one of the Sat Info menus along with speed and altitude How do you check the quantity of satellites the PCM receives? Not at home at the moment so can't tell you exactly how to get to the screen but on one of the main navigation screens there is a small banner running across the bottom that tells you how many satellites your system is recieving a signal (can't be hard to find I think, as i'm a complete novice and I stumbled across it! :)) Someone with access to the system can maybe talk you through finding it.
  9. Dirty sensors can cause that, make sure you clean them well but do NOT pressure wash
  10. Any more details Loren ? application ? MY etc ? Thanks Mike
  11. They are inside the rear spoiler, most likely its a connection at the headunit, I would pull it and check it out first. that would certainly seem to point to the problem as there are no satellites found at all, any ideas as to where the gps antenna is located or is it integrated (i.e. very expensive no doubt!!!) into the sat nav unit? Thanks for the info :)
  12. Never seen one does that, mine must be broken also.
  13. The description is a "from new" issue in 03/04 and some 05/06 There have been loads of comments like this over the years Most people just work around this behavior using the TIP I know this may be something else but I doubt it. Actually, I was turning left. How is left vs. right make a difference?
  14. I use HAWK Dustless pads on the front and very soon the rear NO dirt is wonderful.
  15. Interesting your comment about the sat alternator whine. On the production Mobridge units that was designed out internally to the unit, following beta test input. Mine is now silent on Sirius input Still no question it is the best unit out there and does not require an installer to add cost to it.
  16. Its limited by the PCM software, it does take a little getting used to but the great sound makes it worth it. Not sure. Could always check and ask. I installed my mobridge friday, and it sounds good. I'm a bit irritated about the input method; either i'm retarded or you can't easily skip around songs inside playlists. I can skip songs easily from the "all songs" settings, but it's like pulling teeth to figure out how when you're playing the song list. I'll post pictures tomorrow.
  17. Just turn the fan down to the setting before OFF and it will disappear if its the fan. My deal said they have replaced many
  18. Check the part numbers But what is causing the new coils to fail after 3 months?
  19. It used to they would change them all under warranty along with the plugs, this is no longer the case Porsche are trying to make money and wil only change them now on an error code and only the one that failed. That said there is a shop instruction to replace all if their part numbers and your vin number are in the right range. Part number of current best ones ends in 003. But a set and change them all save yourself some anguish
  20. http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/show...eferrerid=14620 Check Message 40
  21. Thanks RFM, could you please be a little more specific, the techs at my dealer freely admit that they don't play with PIWIS much so mine will be the first one they try this on and I would like to give them some clues If not thats OK, do you know if it will mess up anything, like maps etc Mike
  22. The power for your TPMS may be puling the voltage down, did you hook up to the fuse box or tap an existing circuit.
  23. Does anyone with PIWIS knowledge know if a US PCM2 can be converted to ROW PCM2 (ie phonebook and user controls) ?
