  1. I just had my 6K service done and your list is wrong. I have the check list at the office and will scan it in and post tomorrow. Is the service warning coming on when you start her up ? It should tell you how long till service. If not then I would say its already been done.
  2. AH HA Moriarty I see I think you're correct. I am in the UK.
  3. You might be able to do by removing the lower valance, but that means detaching it from the upper. I would look for someone who has changed the valance for a TT valance on an S, for the procedure. I am sure once removed you should be able to get to the Alu strip Its not hard to remove the bumber but its more that 20 steps and a PIA to do as you have to remove the clusters without damage. Heres the best way
  4. on the US 03/04 model there is no telephone support, the sim tray is inoperable. If the unit you have has the phone icons its most likely not a US model.
  5. Dealer then I'm afraid Not the case unfortunately, I am not starting that fast in order to spin the wheels, this is not normal operation, it did not act like this before, Under a normal acceleration, the cayenne "thinks" a wheel is spinning (which its not), ant psm kicks in and decreases revs, etc... might be a sensor or something else????
  6. What you describe sounds like normal operation, with PASM on, default condition, it will control your revs to prevent wheel spin and otherwise potentially dangerous conditions When you hit the defeat button on the dash, the shift points change and the system goes into a more dormant condition which will allow wheel spin (essential for instance on loose dirt, sand or snow) but its not completely off and will re engage itself if it senses operation outside of what it thinks is its safe operating envelope. You do not describe what you are trying to do but I guess your trying a sprint start, with that much torque available the wheels will start to spin and PASM will kick in. w
  7. it is DIY if you are capable. On V6 remember 17 wheels will not fit over S or TT brakes.
  8. 1 - All Cayennes have been fibre optic since inception. 2 - there is a unit to inteface with the fibre bus in pace of the changer, it costs around $550 plus fitting, manufacturer Denision
  9. Skl Mine were fixed by 1 - Steering Angle Sensor 2 - Reset Processor 3 - Replace Compressor
  10. Any good network cable guy should be able to fix it or re terminate the cable
  11. The only thing you need to buy is the large torx socket that holds the caliper on. Its the largest I have seen, the dealers sell them, sorry i cannot give you the part number Loren amy bea ble to offer this. Mike
  12. I have the Yoko GO 52's which were supposed to last longer but am having cupping problems I think because the front back rotation problem you have with directional tires.
  13. I am told US dealers are taking orders, with deposits based on current price guides.
  14. 1 - Comfort Control Unit 2 - Steering pump perhaps 3 - Aircon Servo's in the lower dash, common problem, "hunting", hope your under warranty coz thats expensive.
  15. The changer is plug'n play. They cost around $700 but try ebay. No they do not play mp3's, and yes you can use both the dash player and the changer.
  16. still messing with the phone stuff right ? does not sound good, dealer fault finding will remove foreign objects from the system, why dont you try that first before the dealer $ kicks in.
  17. UPDATE Now they tell me that its 1 coil and a bad engine mount no error codes yet they are waiting for parts
  18. yes 06 has completely different system I would keep at the dealer . YES YES AND YESS i have an 2005 cayenne keys replaced twice !!! same problem they said change to unlock all doors together at once i hear 06 was better
  19. I have had many DME updates along with the DME Control Module (4) , 05 Transmision fitted and on and on. I have the worst hesitation ever, dies sometimes. Had lots of front end vibration then this after an overnight stand
  20. Loren whats your take on an S (mine) with a wicked stutter and CEL. PIWIS gives CAM VARIO as the error. Plugs/coils check out OK (they were replaced a while ago) This feels like 4 cylinders are not working. Dealer is working thru fault diagnosis procedure with help from atlanta under warranty --phew
  21. What year car do you have ? How far away from the car are you when you try to open ? Are you aware of the delay between clicks on the lock / unlock sequence ? 2 FULL seconds If your car is an 03/04/05 complain to the dealer, replacement keys were made available FOC because of range problems.
  22. Hey Loren I was led to believe that the comfort control unit electric held profiles based on the key used. Part of that was audio settings, am I wrong ? Mike My V-6 does the same thing. It's quite infrequent but annoying as hell, and on my list for the next service. No automated cc, either. All in all, I've had very, very few issues with my Cayenne.
  23. It could also be a survey of product liability issues related to the 04's which by anyones standards were sub par
