  1. How much did the temperature servomotors cost you? My heater blows on and off by itself. Dealer said it would cost me $700 USD to replace it. Crazy expensive! Chris
  2. I am looking to get the Hawk HPS pads. I also looked at the ceramic ones. From Hawk's website, the HPS has better stopping compared to the ceramic. Why is everyone getting the ceramic ones? I understand that it has less dust, but isn't performance more important? Measured my front rotors. They are at 32.70 mm. Seems like I wore down 1.7 mm in 28,000 miles. Should I replace it already? Seems like I can get at least another 10,000 miles out of them. What do you guys think? Chris
  3. Wow, Thanks for the quick reply. So if my rotors in the front are 32 mm, then I have to replace them? Seems kinda odd that there is only 2 mm of thickness to wear before requiring replacement. Chris
  4. Hi everyone, I just removed my brake pads and I am wondering if I need to replace the rotors. There is no visible cracks. There is a lip on the peripherial of the rotor. How can I tell if I need to replace the rotor? I currently have 28k miles for my 2005 Cayenne S. Brake pads were replaced right when the sensor lights came on. Thanks for all your help. Chris
  5. Hi, Can owners of 2005 Cayenne S please check under their hood to see if there is a heat shield? I noticed that my car doesn't have one. Wondering if that is the way it is suppose to be. Thanks everyone!! Chris
  6. Thank you all for the information. The 2005 CS has all side and rear windows "SEKURIT" while the front windshield is "Guardian." If everything else goes well, I'm gonna buy it! Thanks again!
  7. Hi, Does anyone know who makes the window glass for the 2005 Cayenne S? Are all of the windows made by one company? Asking b/c I plan on buying a 2005 CS. Carfax shows no accidents for this car. I noticed that all the glasses on the windows are made by one company, but the front windsheild is made by Guardian. Is this normal? Or is this fixed up? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
  8. Hi, Does anyone know if the 2008 Cayennes have LED license plate lights? Wondering about this b/c I would like to swap out the 2005 lights w/ the 2008 LED license lights if possible.
  9. Anybody changed the license plate lights and the door path lights under the side view mirrors to LEDs?
  10. Cool, thanks! I too have the same question. Do you loose the lighter socket???
  11. Does anyone know why the climate control is always on? Even if I turn it off, when I startup my car again, it's turns back on. Is there a way to keep the air turned off? Thanks.
  12. Hi, Can anyone confirm that all porsche paint has a thickness reading of 4.5? So, if the car has been repainted, it would have a higher reading. Would the paint meter be a good way to decide if I should buy the used Cayenne? Can a porsche tech guy be able to tell if the frame has been damaged? Or is that pretty much impossible.
