  1. Loren, had my cardan shaft replaced today. Couldn't find the part number on the old one, but I did find a sticker that had "7L0 521 102 D" Is this a part number? If so, do you which version of the shaft is corresponds to? I was told by dealer while the vehicle was under warranty that I had the new part number, and then the thing fails not too long after warranty is out.
  2. I have an 04 CS with CDR23 and mObridge. I have had no sound from my car for a while. Tried all of the urban legends to stir the amp into life to no avail. Before I buy a new amp, I brought the pig into a local Porsche dealer to determine if it is in fact the amp, or SW/HW etc. The SA is telling me that they could not access the control modules of the vehicle to read any faults. They said they could not communicate with the car at all. Thought it might be the mObridge unit. This happened before as well when they had to enable CDC so I could install the mObridge. My question is: is that even possible? the mObridge worked fine for 9 months, and the HU controls the Ipod fine when hooked up. Could the mObridge be blocking the communciation with the car, but the MOST be working fine in all other respects? Arrrggghh.
  3. Thanks. I have been to tha thread. I was looking for the instructions that are referenced in those instructions. How to remove the pieces you need to remove before you get to remove the actual luggage panel.
  4. Does anyone have the instructions within the instructions to remove the side panel? For instance, Removing C Pillar Trim, Removing the rear roof lining , Removing the D-Pillar Cover, Removing luggage compartment trim, and Removing cover for lock mount?
  5. Mudman, thanks for the advice. I have the instructions. You sent them to me a while ago, I believe, for the mObridge install. I was hoping that there was a trick. While I have it apart, i will check to see if the mObridge isn't the source of my no sound angst.
  6. Does anyone know if it is possible to remove and replace the Bose amp without removing the side panel? I think my amp is shot, and want to try to replace it with a good one to see if I am right. Without gong to the dealer of course.
  7. Yes, they are, but I am also installing the mudflaps and didn't know if there was an order I should follow etc. I will post pics after completion Rob
  8. I had the same issue with my rubber mats. The round fasteners are two pieces, like the new oval ones. They pop apart with a little force - I used a screwdriver to simply pry it open. Once you pop a couple of them apart you'll get the hang of it. It isn't hard. Dennis, thank you very much. I have had issues before where I pried stuff apart and then broke it, and then found out there was a really simple trick. Rob
  9. Want to install the Tequipment Cayenne Wheel Opening Moulding. Are there any TSBs for these? I have searched the TSB and the forums for any install tips. Looks pretty easy, want to know if there are any tricks, things to avoid, etc.
  10. Received rubber floor mats for the Pepper for Christmas. Went to install, and the fastener is round, not the oval shape. The mats came with the right fasteners, anyone know the trick to remove the round factory ones? Don't want to sstart ripping away if there is any easy route.
  11. Thank you for your reply. I will most likely tape it shut, and wait until my next service. Thanks again
  12. The Sunglass holder in the overhead console broke. I have the pieces. Has anyone put it back together? If so, how? Car is under warranty, but don't want to go to dealer for just this. TIA
  13. So it is possible to swap out the CDR23 HU with a PCM2.1 monitor and not install the nav part? Merely need to have the dealer reprogram the PCM? Is the swap out plug N play in the back?
  14. If that is the Sports Design package diagram, then yes.
  15. I need the part number for the Tequipment sill trim kit for an 04 Cayenne S. It is part of the Sports Package, but can be ordered separately. I can find the description on the Porsche site, but no part number. Thanks, Rob
  16. When you did the install, did you install the DVD nav unit as well, or just the head unit? Which unit, the PCM 2.1? I am thinking about doing the same thing, as I do not need Nav, and don't want to go through the hassle of retrofitting everything. Any info you have would be appreciated, pics, instructions, etc. My guess is that you need to go to your dealer and have him program the PCM to let it know there is no Nav unit.
  17. Is there a consensus out there regarding which of these two Ipod solutions is better? Which has the better bluetooth? Any group buys organized for either?
  18. Update: Picked up the car last night. It is worth every penny. There is no more shake or vibration in the car at all. Phenomenal.
