  1. What was detailed in the letter? Just a copy of that form? Are you tracking this thread: http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/cayenne/232391-cayenne-coolant-line-class-action-lawsuit-14.html or seen this site: http://cayenneclassaction.com/
  2. I am working through a similar issue. No water temp change, but the cabin air temp changes from side to side and runs cold when I want hot. My mechanic hooked it up to the computer and said that he can see the action of each of the servos - cool - and they are all 100%. grrr.. So we are trying to change out the cabin air temp sensor to see if it fixes it.
  3. Any size wheel would work as long as the diameter of the tires are the same, in theory. You could run an 18, 19, 20 and 22 wheel on your car if the diameters (think height of the tire) are the same.
  4. I saw a tablespoon of oil in my driveway which resulted into this - http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/cayenne/233867-oil-leak-starts-1700-diagnosis-then-goes-up.html
  5. Torque convert seal cost - ? Removal and reinstall of tranny = 9hrs both ways $1700-$2000. I just paid for that a couple weeks ago when I had to get a new tranny on our 05.
  6. try this one: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php/topic/27124-oil-leak-soot/ if not, there are a couple other reasons why oil leaks occur in that region. Cayenne turbo leak oil at the bank 2 (drivers side) turbo. They vent the crankcase through that turbo under boost. Porsche has a ATI bullitin instructing use to just replace the seal/hose coming off that turbo going into the intercooler. Just had mine replaced while doing other work.
  7. I thought I would share my recent 05 CTT adventures. I found a little oil one day on my driveway and had it inspected. In order to do a full inspection, they need to pull the tranny...and engine and front suspension ~$2K. $50 Tranny seal did not fix it. Discovered that there is a unobtainable broken gear on the pump that Porsche does not sell seperately, tranny mfr does not sell and no one in the country has a used one that we can find, so we have to buy a Porsche certified rebuilt one for $5200. After installation ~ $7200 Ouch! Captured in all its gory (not a typo) here: http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/cayenne/233867-oil-leak-starts-1700-diagnosis-then-goes-up.html
  8. I just booked mine in for proactive replacement. Just one less thing to think about on our midnight runs over the pass. It is not if, but....when.
  9. Hi - I had this same setup installed yesterday. Can you please answer a couple of questions. Did you use the existing antenna or an aftermarket one? If aftermarket, where did you install it? They could not get an adapter to work for the existing and want some big bucks to rerun a line to the same spot - rear spoiler. Where did you find the Porsche background? Is that a Cayenne icon you have as your car icon on the nav? I need to read the manual on how to turn the screen to black at night when I do not see want to see anything. Cheers, Daniel
  10. Just got a letter in the mail on this from Porsche. Warranty is extended another 4 years, 50,000 miles for 2003-2006 Cayennes. Cool!
  11. Congrats your CTT. I love ours. We have the same issue now and are going to an aftermarket replacement headunit after reading this: http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/cayenne/192424-porsche-radio-nav-pcm-2-1-faulty-screen-replacement-tutorial-video-how.html
  12. I had to have one door switch replaced this month. The issues as that it would "misfire" and lock and unlock randomly. Different from yours, but could require the same fix.
  13. Please tell you live in Oregon. I need this. Our screen is dieing and we need the extra features.
  14. Con! Here are options in your market... http://sfbay.craigslist.org/search/sss?query=cayenne+porsche&srchType=A
  15. Hi - can you please provide some detail as to how you requested Porsche to fix this? Mine looks to be going today - 180miles from home. Thank you.
  16. My nav/radio screen in our 05 CTT goes between full black background (normal) to whiteish, low res background every now and then. If I press on the screen it, goes back to full black for awhile. It is acting like there is a loose connection behind the screen. Suggestions on how to resolve this or instructions on how to pull my screen to check behind it? Thanks in advance.
  17. Incredible work on the car BTW. here it is. you can see the push button installed, and the key i use is an OEM lambo key. and i took the RFID chip out of the actual case and installed it into the lambo key , so in order to start the car you have to have the lambo key present, and in your pocket. http://s745.photobuc...s/xx97/quan717/
  18. Thanks for the great write-ups. Our cracked recently and the wife asked to me again this morning to get on it. Now I know how to.
