  1. Looking good guys!! Now you need to get rid of those fried eggs in your headlights - get some Sylvania turn signal bulbs!!
  2. Glad to hear the chip worked out for you. The price sounds good too. I'd love to do something like that as well, but I have the normally aspirated V8 in my Cayenne. I doubt I'd see much improvement. I am still planning to do the FabSpeed pipes. So the sound is a little louder, but not crazy? That sounds like just exactly what I need. That is an amazing price for flash on Cayenne! I will have to look into it now that it is possible to afford, thanks for the post JR
  3. They also say that 10lbs off of unsprung weight = 100lbs off of sprung weight. JR
  4. Can anyone provide info on how to change the bulbs in the side view mirrors and bulb type - I have no idea why it is excluded from the manual. Thanks JR
  5. You should be fine for the short term with the steel ones I do suggest changing when you can get them if it is convenient enough - what did fabspeed say about using them? JR
  6. I would definitely have all coils checked no matter what if you own an 04 and after I was certain they where correct troubleshoot the shifting if it is still an issue. As stated I think there will always be some delay and I have also found that the tranny adapts to your driving style - after getting on it for a few months it seems to handle those transitions more smoothly. Last I am pretty sure there is a TSB for the software be sure that is updated as well 3ball are you saying the shifting program changes when you change suspension settings? JR
  7. I have an 04 turbo - build date 11/03 will it work on mine? If so let me know what you are asking... JR
  8. How many miles on your cayenne? check out this post http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=16474 JR
  9. All Cayennes ARE full time 4x4 (except GTS I think) There is only 1 solution to performing better in snow and that would be snow tires - the more narrow the better. I am currently running Pirelli Scorpion snow and ice... JR
  10. It's the Porsche/Audi equivilent of "sport mode" - makes a huge difference in shift points on my TT keeps it right in boost I believe the new Cayennes replaced the PSM button with a "sport " button to keep the X50 guys happy JR
  11. A flash will do very little for a n/a motor like your boxster has - on the other hand a forced induction motor will see a huge increase from a flash do to the increase in boost from the programming - the poster has a twin turbo cayenne... JR
  12. It will definitely give you a deeper more aggressive tone but it will always sound like a V6 - not bad just not a V8. The flowmasters will also give you more of a muscle car sound - I would highly recommend Milltek if they have one available for the V6. JR
  13. Not sure on any of the "chips" mentioned here but I have used Giac software flashes in my Audi's in the past with some impressive results on a forced induction motor - I have considered the Giac for my CT but don't really feel the need for that much power at this point...going to try the cat bypass pipes first. Here is a link to the their site if interested in checking them out http://www.giacusa.com/index.php JR
  14. These appear to replace the first set of cats as opposed the second set - I am guessing an option only for the turbo? Loss of low end torque can definitely occur on n/a motors if to much back pressure is lost but I can't see that being the case with the turbo - it should increase power. JR
  15. As stated if you do not need the electric Uhaul has one for the cayenne that is very affordable... JR
  16. I would have to say yes to this considering the reasoning behind the break-in period and what occurs when a new engine is fired up -although I have no idea if Porsche runs them before delivery or not... JR
  17. Non smokers with ipods and cell phones need them ;) I have the new non smokers tray and have removed the bezel but am unable to find the 2 "clips" that I need to remove. If anyone could provide more detail or a pic it would be greatly appreciated. Would be easy to modify that tray to include a 2 outlet 110V inverter.... Thanks for the idea - believe it or not I just found the 2 power outlets under the glove box that I have been looking for over the last 4 months! I would like to put my ipod hookup from the MoBrodge in that tray if possible... And again does anyone have a picture/diagram of what clips need to be removed in order to pull the climate control??? JR
  18. I have purchased Kumho tires in the past that where "out of round" from the factory - I do not buy them anymore. Not sure how others here feel but I would stick with N rated tires on a Porsche. JR
  19. Depends on what you are using them for - are they for winter, summer or all season? I run 255/50 for my winter tires and 275/40 for summer tires... JR
  20. yeah i know there replicas, but will they fit? thanks They will fit - they are the same size I am running for winter wheels - I purchased these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-PORSCHE-...sspagenameZWDVW

  22. The stealership just did my C pillar and they had to remove the window to do it - first time they didn't get it right and they had to do it a second time. I want to do the exact same thing with my CT but won't for this reason. Ebay has the carbon fiber stick on covers which at first I thought was cheasy but I have recently seen a CS with them and they looked really good - I still have to think about it.
  23. Are you getting the front part (seat) folded forward against the front seat first? You have to pull UP to unlock the seat part to fold them forward...just a thought, it took me like 3 days to figure out how the seat part folded forward.
