It is a big job. You have to reglue (plastic weld) the panel back on. PITA

I have drivers side airbag ignition circuit Durametric error code 1587 I tried reseting it with duramtric, but it keeps coming back. ANy Idea how to fix it ... or do I have to bring to dealer. I still have CPO.

The intake is on the drivers side under the hood close to the windshield. Put the AC on high and you will hear it, and will be able to follow the noise to it..

Try spraying frigifresh into intake outside car. works great.

I am looking for a good way for the paintless dent repair guy to get to my dent. The dent is just above the "cayenne turbo" emblem in the main section of the rear hatch. What iis the best way to get access to that area from the back of the hatch. Thanks, Andy

06 Spare tire ?

18"s will not fit over Turbo s brakes. I have a 2005 turbo wich came with 18" spare. -
I have a 2005 TT, PCM 2.1 with NO Phone buttons. I installed a Mobridge sytem with bluetooth, sirius, and IPOD connection. The phone worked fine but I had to be controlled from the phone itself. Meaning hte kicrophone from the mobridge and he speakers worked fine. I could see the phone bars etc. The problem was I had no phone buttons. SO I bought one with phone buttons on ebay (sold mine without them for same price :)) and just plugged it in. WHat I got was full functioning phone with no glitches. You may need to go to the dealer and have them change a few settings, but 30 minute job at worst. I also got the compass function on my dash that I was not expecting. All pretty easy to do. AA

Jack Daniels in Nauet ... turned off phone option. My Mobridge seems to work great!

My indy has a piwis .. but the software went to a 2007 pcm ... the one in the truck is 2008. OK if anyone has any good leads on someone who can fix this please let me know. Thanks mudman2. Andy

I have a mobridge BT and sirius in my 2005 CTT with PCM 2.1. The pcm unit i had did not have the phone buttons even though the BT did work. I was able to get a newer PCM 2.1 with the phone buttons. I am getting a phone error. I can push eneter and bypass it. The phone and all other functions work great. I am guessing the previous ownwer had factory phone and the PCM is looking for it. How can I shut off factory phone option without getting a dealer invloved. Thanks, Andy

wow glad to hear you solved the problem. Apparently the turbo and turbo s have different shafts. the turbo has part number 955 421 020 14 and the turbo s has 955 421 020 23. Anyone know the difference and if the S version is bigger ... or better. Thanks.

Stealthtt, please let me know how you make out with the drive shaft change. My car is still under warranty!!! I called PCNA national and registered my problem. They are going to have a National Tech check out my car. I am guessing it is the shaft as well .... but who knows. Let me know what happens with you and I will pass this info to the Nat. Tech. Also I am curious what they are going to charge you for parts and labor. Thanks, Andy

I bought a set of the newer oem cayenne 18" wheels ... the ones that look similar to the GTS wheels, on ebay. I was going to use them for winter wheels. Even though I had my 19" speed force balances with new tires, I decided to put yokohama goelander HTS on the 18's. I had them road forced balanced as well. I figure I will give it one more shot to fix the problem, and then just sell the car. First test drive tonight ... I think the vibration is gone. Can these cars actually be that sensitive to wheel balancing. That is rediculous ... and a major design flaw. I will drive it to work in the morning and confirm it is fixed. Car is still shaking at speed. Very upsetting!!!

Could they be a K40 radar detector? I am in NY. I brought it to two dealers (one in CT and one in NY twice) ... and both of them claim it is not the cardan shaft or the bearing. Thats what I thought it was. The steering wheel starts to shake at about 65 mph and faster. From my understanding on this board ... cardan shaft problems start at lower speeds. Thanks for all the help. Thanks, Andy hey carrerac3, get them to put it on a lift (be sure they turn off the suspension first!!) and they will find the problem. It is the rubber carrier bearing near the middle of the drive shaft. That is the part they call the cardan. They will find that it is worn. You are very fortunate to have an extended warranty on you ctt!! Where are you located?? Tim

I have a 2005 ctt with 10k miles on it. It has 1 year left of warranty plus cpo (2 years). I have the vibration!! F'ing annoying. It has been to the dealer several times, wheels speed forced balanced, new tires, everything. Still there. I am at a loss of what to do next.

I have the same problem. I used aluminum cleaner and it worked for a day or two .. then the stains came back. Any suggestions????

I am looking for the part number for the pcm 2.1 (with dvd gps and bose) for my 2005 turbo. I am looking for the one with the phone buttons, mine does not have them. Thanks.

I had the wheels (and new tires) speed force balanced ... and still no luck. Steering wheel shakes at speed. Not much at 55 (where wheel balancing problem is usually noticed) but it is there at higher speeds like 75 mph. Wheels confirmed not bent. Any other thoughts?

I bought new Michelin tires and had wheels rebalanced. The rims are not bent. I still have the vibration. On my racecar I get the wheels speed force balanced. Maybe that what I need to do. Thanks for all of the reply's.

I installed the side markers on my cayenne turbo. I had some amber bulbs that I used. They do not seem very bright compaired to the amber lenses with clear bulbs. What are you guys using. I guess it might have to do with the location of the bulb compaired to the amber lenses. They are not the same. Andy
