  1. I've been getting a P1128 and P1130 code about every two weeks. I've just been resetting the codes until I replace the AOS (getting the massive sucking and stumbling idle when I remove the oil cap). Today the CEL popped on and it was P1118. What is this code, I can't find it anywhere. Rick 99 996C4 87 944S
  2. The cables connect on the right top side of the transmission. You can easily see them from underneath and will know if one of them is wrong. Rick 99 996C4 87 944S
  3. That's normal. Mine does the same thing with 90K on the engine. Rick 99 996C4 87 944S
  4. Not to jinx myself, but I hit 90,000 miles on Friday. Original engine. Sometime within the next 10,000 miles I suspect I'll need a clutch. Rick 99 996C4 87 944S
  5. What do you use to undo the rectangular metal clips on the panel? Or do you just carefully pull down on the panel after the four corner bolts are removed and they pop off? On the metal clips there is a little tab on the sides, just push in a flat bladed screw driver and pry to the center of the clip. They will pop off. If you have the plastic clips, the same applies, but there is a slot on each side you pry, be prepared to replace them as they get brittle with age. Rick 88 996C4 87 944S
  6. Are you sure it's not the bottom grommet, the one the pin goes into? Rick 1999 C4 1987 944S
  7. you need to replace both, the compressor and the clutch. The clutch has been damaged trying to turn a frozen compressor. Rick 99 996C4 87 044S
  8. oil pressure sending unit Rick 1999 996 C4 1987 944S 1978 924
  9. Could the difference be the adjustment of 5 mph in the speedo as the "safety factor". Mine is 5 mph so for every hour driven, I actually going 5 miles less then what I should be. Does the odo reflect true mileage or this adjusted mileage by the speed factor? If so then my vehicle truely has less mileage on it. Rick 99 996C4 87 944S 78 924
