  1. I came across a Macadamia 997 the other day looking through Autotrader, cars.com, etc. Car.com as about 20+ brown 911s
  2. Sun Coast Motorsports. I'll call them just to make sure they will work. Thanks. Scott
  3. Thanks Loren. The # on the pads is definitely 996 352 930 03. All 4 of the pads say Textar T4045 FF (43P). The next line down says 21792 155 319. the 3rd line is the # 996. 352.930.03. The very bottom says Germany 003596 01/10. So do you think these are good for a '00 C2? Thanks, Scott
  4. Can someone tell me if I was sent the right oil filter and rear brake set for my '00 C2 please? I ordered these online and I think they sent me the wrong ones. The oil filter they sent is #996 107 225 60. It looks different than the ones in the past. The rear brakes they sent are #996 352 930 03. If someone can confirm these are the correct brakes and filter I would appreciate it. Thanks. Scott
  5. This is a little hard to describe, but i'll give it a try. I have had a noise coming from the front of the car every once in a while when I go over a bump or brake/accelerate hard (like if i blip the throttle in 1st gear at a high rpm and the car thrusts forward and then slows down really fast). I figured it was the suspension so I had it checked out. They torqued everything down but still the same problem. I started to think it was coming from inside the dash somewhere. Now I think i have narrowed it down to the steering wheel/column. I have noticed that if I pull back or push in on my steering wheel I get the same clunk (the steering wheel doesn't feel loose at all). If I drive down the road and keep pushing in on the steering wheel (keeping pressure on it) I don't get the noise. Has anyone heard of something like this? All I can guess is there is something down at the bottom of the steering column that is slightly loose. The car drives fine and nothing in the steering or suspension feels or acts loose. Any thoughts would be really appreciated. Thanks.
  6. Never mind. I just figured it out. The part that it snaps into is broken. I'll have to order a new part.
  7. I can't figure out how this switch attaches under the rear center console. The alarm beeps at me every time i set it because this isn't hooked up.
  8. Thanks guys. I'll refill a few times and see how it goes. I thought it was off because after changing the battery and going through a tank of gas the needle was on empty and the computer said "0" miles to empty. When I filled it, it only took about 12-13 gallons so I thought it was off. I'll fill up again and check it. Thanks again. Scott
  9. Installed a new battery a while back in my 2000 C2 (believe it or not, the original battery lasted 8 yrs! That must be some kind of record). I read up on a few things and it sounded like sometimes the gas gauge will not register correctly afterwards. I filled my tank before changing the battery, but it seems like the gauge is off a little. Does the dealer need to reset the computer? If so, is it a really quick fix? Thanks. Scott
  10. I just replaced the broken hinge on my oddments storage compartment in my 2000 C2 Cpe. When I went to put it all back together I couldn't figure out what this goes to. Any thoughts. Scott
  11. Mine just broke on my 00 C2 coupe. I know I've heard Porsche has a fix for this. Anyone know the parts I need to buy from the dealer and is it a hard fix? Thanks guys. Scott
  12. Have noticed the air conditioning is not blowing very cold last few times. Maybe a little cold but not enough to be comfortabel when it is hot outside. I'm going to take it in next week. Just wondered if anyone has had this issue and what the fix was? My car is a 2000 C2. Any thoughts? Thanks.
  13. Can someone tell me what size, width, and offset the wheels are. front 99336213406 rear 99336214004. Someone is looking to sell me these and just sent this info. Thanks for the help. Scott
  14. My B&M ssk should be here in a few days. So I've been trying to read as much as possible to have an easy install. I came across the thread about getting part #000 721 961 90 to check the alignment of the cables before installing the ssk. It sounds like a good thing to do just to make sure everything is perfect (although everthing feels fine shifting now). My question is when I place the tool on the oem shifter, how will I know what adjustments need to be made? Are there instructions with the tool? Any info would be great. Thanks.
  15. I'm getting this weird clunking sound in my 2000 C2. I get it if I go over small bumps, accelerate or decelerate fairly quick, or turn the car sharply at slow speeds. I thought it was the suspencion but I now can make the same sound by pulling back or pushing in on the steering wheel if I do it hard. I wonder if it is the steering linkage or something else. Anyone have and ideas on this? Thanks
  16. Loren, Can you help with info on the gt3 adjustable swaybar? I have a 2000 c2 coupe 6sp. with ROW 030 suspension. I'm thinking of putting on the gt3 swaybars to reduce understeer. Will these not just bolt on to replace my old swaybars? I've heard i may have to do some welding or modifying of the drop links to put this on my car. Can you give me any info on what I would need to do? Any info would be great. Thanks. Scott
  17. Loren, thanks for the info. I guess I will stick with the 225's.I've also thought about just going to adjustable sway bars to improve the understeer. I don't know much about sway bars, but I've been told this would be a good set up with my Row 030 suspension I have on right now. I like the way my car rides now (not to harsh), will adjustable sway bars make it more harsh? I would assume it will only be a little more harsh when it is adjusted for the track or autocrosses, and will be pretty normal (how it is now) when it is set for just street use. Does any of that make sense? Any info on adjustable sway bars would be great. Can you suggest any particular bars? thanks again. Scott
  18. I have a 2000 c2 with 7.5X18 in. rims on the front and 10X18 in the rear. I need to get new tires all the way around. I would like to get a little more grip in the front (less understeer). I now have 225/40 in front and 265/35 in the rear. Will going to a 235 or even 245 in the front give me more grip? Will either of those sizes be too wide for my 7.5in. rims. Any suggestions on a good size combination for front and back whould be greatly appreciated. I know wider rims would be the best, but I don't want to buy rims. I do have the Row 030 suspension if that makes a difference. Thanks for the help. Scott
  19. I would like to know the same. Anyone out there using these tires or have any info on them?
  20. Thanks Loren. I guess I will just go with one of the other gloss finishes. Scott
  21. I'm wondering if I can use a rocker switch from a Targa (996 613 147 00 A 02), the one that opens the glass roof, in my 2000 Cpe. Are the rocker switches the same from year to year? I saw this switch on the "bat wing" pannel (the one that has the heated seat switches) of a targa today and the picture on it looked like a garage door to me. I figured I would order one of these instead of the door lock switch to wire my garage door opener to. Can anyone tell me if this will work? Thanks. Scott
