  1. Been there, done that, got the t shirt! PSE, zero hp. Fabspeed/GHL probably a small gain. Airbox, 1-4hp, a guy dynoed a fabspeed one awhile back (with BMC1 I believe). One guy actually lost power on a dyno with the evo box, who knows. Really the best mod for a C4S is the X73 suspension, total transformation of the car into a very aggressive Mr Hyde. Usually go on sale a couple of times a yr. at Suncoast, Braman porsche at a descent price. Gert sells it too, but with the exchange his prices blow. I may have a set of GHLs for a C4S if you're interested. PM me
  2. I have a new teq rb in the fs section if anybody needs one.
  3. Very cool indeed, do post your experience over on rennlist as well. Are you gonna do the LSD as well, might be more hassle than it's worth.
  4. Not sure a porsche is a great car to learn a manual on, drive a beater is a better way to learn.
  5. I still use a qt every 1000 miles or so, more at the track. I run too light a grade though, 5w30, it's what's readily available around me, I'll be switching back to 0w50 to see if that makes a difference. I did try stp a while back, really slowed the use alot. It may be common, but it ain't normal to use that much oil.
  6. I've never had any problems lapping m3's at the track, frankly they just get in the way. I don't usually 'street race' , but a m3 just could't keep up with me tonight on the LIE.
  7. Ditto what a dell said, run don't walk. 525$ is too much for thar POS anyway. If it's good, it ain't cheap, and if it's cheap, it ain't good!
  8. Very impressive, good 'ole KC engineering (I'm from KC myself), I'm def gonna try it this winter. Did you use your elevator motor or a TT version for the functional blade?
  9. Looks great, I'm gonna try it myself this winter. A9, I'd pass on the mishagt2 wing, I had it, just too in your face, you'll be tired of it in a week.
  10. What offset are the wheels? Make sure they will clear your brakes as well, sometimes, the 17in. wheels fit but you need a spacer, 5-6mm to clear the brakes, and that will need longer lugs......
  11. Only the sport technos will fit, as they have the same nb offset, et63. The stock C4S/TT wheels have a et45 offset, can't work on a nb car.
  12. Get snows and you can go through anything, no problem.
  13. Who would you recommend out of the three <{POST_SNAPBACK}> TKX Racing, formerly RPM, Taso 631-424-3640
  14. I wouldn't pin my hopes up on them turning quiet over the next two weeks, they won't or you will get used to them. My GHL regular version (not loud) are just slightly louder than stock at idle/ less than 3k rpm, when you hit it, they are louder than PSE. I think they are the pefect compromise, I have no regrets.
  15. Fabs are loud no doubt about it, my brother had 'em on for about a month, couldn't take it and got some GHL quiets. Another friend has them and loves it, muffler sound is a very personal thing, always try to hear them first. BTW PSE ain't quiet either.
  16. Your offset is stamped on the outside of the rim by the valve stem, 11J 45 or 63 for example. I bought some knockoff rims on ebay and some TR snows, works ok, way cheaper than porsche.
  17. Glad it worked out for you, sounded like a nightmare install, my brother and I put his in a little while ago and it was a *****. Anybody that says it is easy hasn't done it, I'm actually doing mine this wknd. Those guys should make the car right free of charge. Some of these 'tuners' are out of control. Good luck.
  18. Shouldn't be a major prob. BTW what finally happened with your roll bar?
  19. Bav, it's part of the security system in the car, mine did it so much the dealer ended up replacing the radio. Still does it, not as frequently though.
  20. When I disconnect the battery will it interfere with the computer?
