  6. If you would like some precision about that, the ecu will monitor the fan for 40 minutes after you leave the car and keep the temperature of the engine compartment below 172F or 78C . From the book, "Porsche 996 the essential companion" from Adrian Streather page 178. Also very good info here: http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic/30214-engine-compartment-fan-running-part-ii/page__p__160046__hl__%2Bcompartment+%2Bfan__fromsearch__1

  13. Ignition switch has to be on (door open or not). You have to adjust the mirrors and seat to your position. After you select reverse gear only if you want the passenger mirror to swivel down for parking (to see the sidewalk) leave it in neutral if you don't want this feature. And finally you press both buttons at the same time, the M and the Number 1 or 2 or 3. To recall the seat position after it was disturb you simply open the door and press the button with have choose with the number 1 or 2 or 3. Do not press the M. The fuses are E3 for the left seat and E4 for the right seat memory. Red lipstick always a must when you want to drive aggressively ;)
  14. The air pressure going into the intake manifold. This air is either the atmospheric pressure (about 14.7) when your reading indicate 0 or, if the turbo are delivering pressure, a bit higher. 0.6 to 0.8 for a base TT, 0.9 to 1.0 for an X50 and + for some modified cars (over 1.5 +). The amount of pressure delivered by the turbos is controlled by the ECU (electronic control unit) and the waste gate.
  15. I am sorry for you. The fuel tank is within a metal box (see picture from a front end, view from the top). It is not easy to reach but after removing the underside plastic fairings look just over the front differential, may be you will found something.....
