  1. Hi All, My CD auto changer has not been part of the system since I got the car. Has aftermarket HU. The fibre cable is removed but the power plug is still there. I'm looking to remove the unit altogether but can't work out how the plug comes out. I could just snip the wires but would prefer not to. Any help appreciated Thanks Mike
  2. Diagnosed as a dodgy batch of oil used for the 4WD oil change. One for everyone to look out for should they have the same symptoms.
  3. Update. OPC looking into it with Porsche GB Thanks guys
  4. Hi guys Just got my 2008 TT Cab back from the OPC after minor 6 year service (brake fluid, fuel filter, 4WD Oil change, poly rib belt change as extras). Car has done 23k miles. Today the car has had a clunking as I set off in 1st when clutch let out, can feel a punch in the back sensation (and not the usual nice n scary one). The clunking continues if stay in 1st at low speed. seems more evident when the engine is warm and I was crawling in traffic. Wondered if anyone had experienced similar? I'll be back on the phone to the OPC tomorrow for certain! Cheers, Mike
  5. Pretty much the same for me as for Faye. Had standard shift on 02 996 turbo, but now have 2008 turbo with short shift. Doesn't like 1st whilst rolling but definitely a meatier and nicer shift overall.
  6. Google search returned this: http://www.porsche.com/all/media/pdf/Owners_Manual_Turbo_PCNA.pdf although it's for a later car....
  7. All fitted using the excellent instructions thanks Richard. Doesn't work quite yet as I'm guessing it's wrongly coded by the independent, back we go tomorrow! Lights up on the dash at startup but not when the stalk button is pressed! Cheers, Mike
  8. Hi Guys, My indicator stalk refuses to stay put on right turn, I guess this is the common fault. If I'm replacing the unit anyway is it easy to retrofit the cruise too? The 4 stalk module is cheaper for some reason, plus it's a great addition to the car. What do I need other than the unit? Is it even possible? I'm in a 2002 996 Turbo. Thanks, Mike
  9. I have a leak of Pentosin coming from the reservoir under the bonnet next to the battery. When I've opened this it's filled beyond the MAX level, right up to the top. In the engine compartment the level on the dipstick is just on the bottom of the stick below Cold without starting up. When the engine is warmed up it's not on the dipstick at all. Any ideas guys? Thanks, Mike 2002 996 Turbo
  10. Not sure on the recall bit Tom. I paid for my fix, was a seized turbo. Whistling has gone now but the leak fixed at same time.
  11. Oh ****! The turbo is internally damaged apparently. Anyone got £3k to spare?
  12. It gives the error message when raising, intermittent fault though. Thought it may be hydraulics again based on the TSB on her re spoilers
