  1. With regards to the differences between the TT and TTS, we (Marc at AMS and myself a customer) studied this issue extensively by comparing parts numbers and from official Porsche parts guides, and pretty much so came to the same conclusion. We are not too sure if the primary catalytic converters are different however. The turbos themselves are the same. That being said, less restrictve primary cats and bigger turbochargers would be your best bet for significant hp/torque gains. Or just trade up to an '08 turbo with that sweet DFI!!
  2. I'm sure they are all quite similar in terms of performance increase. In my experience, I used Sportec at first who came to the MAHA dyno, then had a custom program made by AMS after the results were not what we wanted. I based my decision on the results from the MAHA dyno. In my case, there were some other factors such as cracked coil packs that may have negatively altered Sportec's results on the dyno. GIAC is very popular in my region for the same reasons you state - price. But I didn't have the time to go back and forth between a GIAC dealer and then the dyno shop, etc. Sportec is a great company that backs their product. If you reseller in Australia can unconditionally guarantee the claimed hp/torque increases on the dyno, then you should go with the company that'll back up their product !
  3. Have your dealer replace the ignition coils and plugs. The 1st generation versions are known to crack early on. Mine cracked at about 11,000 miles. We discovered on the Dyno that my 04 turbo was not making the hp it was supposed to be making. After the coils and plugs were replaced, I got all my horsepower back!
  4. Check out Vizualogic.com I purchased the headrests with built in monitors for my wife's MB ML430. They fit quite well and are of high quality. I haven't yet tried the install on the Cayenne--I'm a bit wary.... :(
  5. I kind of agree with you on McKenna. They're OK. They have one Porsche loaner, a Cayenne S, and the last time I was there, somebody else was using it. A relative of mine got to use it for a few days. I did get a free Enterprise rental for a few days, however, which is better than nothing, but still a waste of time when you're in a hurry. Find me a Porsche dealer/service that kisses my a$$ ....
  6. Warning! :o David's work is commendable, but.... The installation above is NOT completely correct. The valve stem part of the spare tire must be aligned at the 6 'o' clock position. The fastener fits directly on top of the valve stem protecting it. Please see the enclosed picture for the final installation.
