  1. Hey Chuck, The part is located under the flap (item #21 in the picture attached) in the rear service area. I am thinking my broken part most resembles item #6. But the part in the picture still looks very different than the broken part that came off my car. Thanks for taking a look, Patrick
  2. 1999 Porsche C2 Cabriolet This is part of cabriolet top. I noticed it has broken, but cannot identify the part number from the part diagrams. There is no number on the part itself. Can anyone identify it? Thanks!
  3. My '99 996 key does not pop the trunk either, it only unlocks the door. Any suggestions?
  4. Hi Loren, Could you forward me a copy of this too please? Thanks! Patrick
  5. I am sorry to hear about your loss. Glad you are alright. Looking at your pictures... is your interior black, or metropole? In case it is metropole, do you know where it was salvaged to? I am in need of a passenger side seat cushion cover (not the cushion, just the leather). Pat
  6. I have attached some pictures. Thankfully the leather has softened and returned to its original shape. However, the texture is rough and it looks pretty bad compared to the undamaged side. Damaged Undamaged I am still continuing to condition it daily and letting it settle overnight. I've been using the Lexol, but I have some Dr. Jacksons ordered. Thanks for your advice. Patrick
  7. I had the same problem when I replaced my regulator a few weekends ago and it was the same issue that dbookman describes above. It took me a while to figure it out.
  8. Well... It's on there. I really hope that it works. I will keep you posted. Thanks for the help.
  9. '99 C2 Cabriolet... So my buddy had a semi-wet bathing suit on when we went to lunch yesterday, leaving the top down in the heat for a while. When I got in the car last night, I found the car in its current condition. Most of the bottom cushion leather has hardened, and the cushion has "bloated." Is the seat cushioned ruined? Is the anything that can be done to save it? Think this may be covered under my comprehensive coverage? Thanks. Patrick
  10. This is the only thing I have found searching the internet. www.jandkcurbramps.com
  11. wow... no, its not quite that bad. The owner of that house may have to invest in a wench to get the car in the garage...
  12. I just moved into a new house... The driveway has a steep angle and there is a dip in the gutter along the road. I scrape the front of my car every time, no matter how much of an angle I take at it. Does anyone know any easy fixes? I have searched the internet for curb ramps, etc., but there is suprisingly little out there. any suggestions? Thanks.
  13. I saw the price for the regulator earlier. I am probably going to make an order a little later. I am not sure if the pop is due to the regulator though. The pop was heard mostly over the winter, and the window didn't start going bad until a few weeks ago. It doesn't "pop" until the door is about 1/4 the way open.
  14. My passenger door makes a "popping" noise when it opens. Especially in cold weather. Any ideas? I am also having problems with the window regulator. Is this related? 1999 C2 Cabriolet Thanks, Patrick
  15. I was cleaning the inside of my car a couple weeks ago and noticed the carpet under the driver side back seat was wet, and also under the mat on the floorboard. I vacuumed the water, but it reappeared a few days later. The soft top does not leak to my knowledge. What could cause this? 1999 C2 Cabriolet Thanks in advance!
  16. I ordered this part from Crutchfield a few months ago for my '99 C2. Installation was easy and only took about 20-30 minutes. The cable does not charge the I-pod. The sound quality is great! much better than FM transmitters. I bought a mount from Pro-clip as well. Looks great and sounds great. It does take the place of the CD changer though.
