  1. Probably a good thing we postponed the event - we got close to 5" of rain between Friday & Sunday up in the foothills. Saturday was a steady downpour all day.
  2. fyi, we had a similar rattle that was driving us insane coming from the support bar behind our sunroof. I found that I could actually fit my hand/arm in between the roof and the headliner after popping the rear of the sunroof up. I kneeled in the driver seat backwards and slowly worked my petite hand/arm into the gap. My husband then supported the bar from inside the car and we were able to snap the bar back into the clip that it had come loose from. This is a two person job as it takes a lot of force to snap the bar back into the clip. You have to have someone supporting the headliner and applying pressure so that you don't ruin your headliner. Saved us the dealer fee to do the repair and it hasn't come un-clipped again (knock on wood!). Mary
  3. I really like the updates Loren! Much easier on the eyes and I like the sharpness of the graphics & fonts. Thank you for providing such a great community for us P-car nuts. :renntech: Mary See you soon at WOCD! Wait until you see the latest 911 that found it's way to our house. Nice little project car - 74' 911S
  4. Nice find! Have fun with your new p-car. I haven't really seen a body kit & wing on a cab yet. I like it :)
  5. I was doing some clean up in the engine compartment today and took a look at the strut that is holding up our spoiler with easy effort....would it be helpful to you guys if I posted the part number from the strut? There is only a single strut on the right side of the deck lid. Mary
  6. I don't have any advice for you but just wanted to weigh in and give my condolences. Major engine failure is very unfortunate and very upsetting. These cars were built to do those speeds and being in Europe you have a lot more opportunity to let them stretch their legs than we do here in the US. Hope all goes well with the rebuild. I know I would be pretty upset if the engine in my 996 blew, I have only had it since February....
  7. Our '01 Gemballa conversion has a very similar spoiler and the deck lid release does work and the struts do support it. Here is a pic of the deck lid & spoiler. There is hope for it working! Probably a good adjustment and some stronger hood struts will do the trick.
  8. Hi Chuck, good to see you on Sunday! My 996 also has a B and M shift kit and folks are welcome to test out the feel too. Looking forward to the WOCD. p.s. I should have never driven your turbo....now I want one :o :P Mary
