  1. Sure about that? My C2 CAB rear seat fold down to give me a shelf as well.
  2. You can buy updates but they have to be from Porsche directly. If you log on to the Navtech website they will direct you to the dealer for replacements. Quite the money making deal they have!!! You CANNOT use a disc from anywhere else, as it will not work. I can't even use the PCM disc from my family's S class Mercedes in the M class Mercedes. Just another way for them to keep making money. Best thing for you to do if you want an updated disc is to find the best dealer price and so with that.
  3. What do you mean? I can only guess one of two scenarios that you are referring to: 1. an old PCM disc that is sold to you from somebody that has upgraded to a new disc or 2. obtaining an illegal copy of a current disc. I sure hope you are not referring to the second choice or that I have totally misunderstood what you are asking.
  4. Good one izzy. And remember, the only one you REALLY need to impress (better payoffs) is the wife!
  5. As long as you have it documented you won't have any problems if you decide to sell at some point. That way people know you had paint chips, etc cleaned up not a major accident.
  6. Any reason why you drilled in the sensor holes for track pads? I would have just zip tied them out of the way for track pads.
  7. If you don't mind, post your results when done. Sometimes Sunset IS NOT the cheapest and it would be a nice heads up as to the difference. Thanks!
  8. Have you tried to site sponsor at top? Sunset is a great P-Car parts department. usually the cheapest for Porsche stuff.
  9. Same here, dealer replaced MAF under warranty and it runs like a champ now!
  10. water at less than a quart is ok, but make sure you used distilled water.
  11. FYI......X73 and 74 will NOT work for his 99. The X73 is for an 02+ wide body (C4S or TT) and the X74 is for an 02+ narrow body. Factory his options are USM030 or RoWM030 (best) Aftermarket his options are much greater (PSS9's, H&R, Caragraphic, Gemballa, etc, etc, etc)
  12. Hate the word as well. I can honestly say that I have NEVER stickered any of my cars. NOt even a small one. The most I have done is the chrome longhorn on my mercedes to pay honor to my alma matter. Hook em!
  13. Bling is so different. Have your car looking good is one thing, but to "rice" is up to something it isn't is another story. For example, chrome wheels are bling, but stickers from sponsors that DO NOT sponsor you and claiming your car is something it IS NOT is ricer.
  14. Come on bliss, don't be so jaded. There are ricers in every bunch.
  15. Not bad. But I wouldn't add them. I like my fried egg litronics just the way they are :)
  16. This is a cross post from a thread I started over at Rennlist based on demand for the Smart Top unit. Please post to that thread if interested. http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/show...d.php?p=2332960 Cheers, Dell
  17. Sounds like you may be the next victim of the ever sturdy (not) coolant expansion tank cracking. Almost everybody has to get it replaced sooner or later. Do a search and you will find many stories about it.
  18. If I am not mistaken, this is highlighted in the Owners Manual (changing bulbs).
  19. I've never had oil drip on the top side of the plate. I loosen the oil drain plug and let it fall straight down into the oil catch and the oil follows suit right behind it. Gives me a reason to get it dirty so I have to clean the plug again as replace the o ring.
  20. I like the lights and wouldn't go so far to say they are the wekaest feature. You can get the lights surrounds like you see on eBay paint to match your body color and they look good thay way. Personally I wouldn't add them but they look fine. I think the perforated vinyl route will look cheap. Just my opinion though.
