  1. I'd be interested to know who sells it in the states as well. Anybody? By the way, what is the part number on this plate?
  2. I have the door trim 000 044 802 18 and it is an exact match to the center piece number 986 552 995 09 V03. I can't speak for the surround though.
  3. Not sure if it is Porsche or aftermarket. I saw it on carnewal. Loren? Jeff?
  4. Arthur, I have a MY00 CAB and I installed the same part last year. I am looking at my reciept and the part number is as follows: 98655299509V03 Hope this helps out, Dell
  5. Anybody have a pic of their undercarraige to show what it looks like installed?
  6. I share your sentiment exactly! I do not know where I would be without this board to help me SPEND SO MUCH MONEY ON MODS!!! My name is Dell and I am a mod addict :help: Oh yeah, post some pics of the new mods, etc. Would love to see the car.
  7. LOL......Sorry, couldn't help it as I read it. I guess hindsight IS 20/20. I assume you will be getting one? And for the RMS detection?
  8. What exactly does the engine plate cover exactly? Does it prevent you from seeing the dreaded RMS leak should it arise?
  9. For the mostpart: Sunset in Oregon (site sponsor) Suncoast in FL Carnewal in Europe (exchange right sux though right now). I deal will Sunset for most everything. Very good, competitive pricing, and fast shipping!
  10. This may sounds like a dimb question.....but why would a RMS seal be changed if it is NOT leaking? I'm a bit confused. This would indicate that the seal is the problem for PNCA and PAG but yet they continue to put the darn seal in? Any thoughts?
  11. That very crappy of them. The top was perfect before the mishap correct? Then it is their responsibility to fix that! DO NOT back down. Insurance companies do not do that, they replace. So if they dented the fender they would apply the same formula? Doesn't make sense and it very unethical of them to try and do this to you. Anything to get out of payment is what they are trying to do--minimize THEIR loss/fault.
  12. Sorry, typo Berny. It still early here in the states and I need more coffee :) I would prefer a glass window, but like I said I was told plastic is the only option. THat is wierd that the dealer offered glass to you. Maybe he promised something he couldn't deliver and then gave excuse after excuse till you changed to plastic? Dell
  13. I agree with alll. But, the point Benny makes about the glass I think is not relevent, is it? Last time I checked you could not put a glass window in a 98-01MY car that has the plastic window to begin with b/c of the way folds dow into the rear bay. If you had plastic to begin with then plastic you have to stay with. Please let me know if I am wrong since I will be replacing my MY00 CAB top shortly and would like to have a "correct" response before I go shell out some serious cash. I wold love to have glass. I thought this has been raised before? LOREN?
  14. I am stumped on this one. Why would the trunk release not work without power. I thought the trunk release was a cable system not electrical. By the way, if you remove the side parking lamp housing from the bumper you may be able to see the cable and pull it. That is where I saw mine when I changed form orange to clear markers.
  15. I had a similar problem to you. When I did my first oil change I didn't get a reading in the normal area (it was low) at just over 9 quarts. Confused and not wanting to overfill, I decided to just make a short drive around the neighborhood and voila' it moved into the acceptable range after I let it cool down and re-checked.
  16. Like Poursche said..there is no tilt.....it is telescopic (push in or pull out).
  17. Regardless of the paint, that is a great shot with the 996 in the background Kirb!
  18. It is also a fairly straight forward DIY (save some serious $$$).:wrench: Happy Motoring
  19. My question would be why you only have 11K in 4 years? Drive that thing! But to answer your question, yes, in the manual it reccommends the service intervals based on milage OR years if the milage isn't met.
  20. WOW!!! That is some respect. I am not quite sure how I would react to a situation like that. I can tell you this....I would be definately surprised! The wife supports the habit, she just doesn't participate in it. But, of course loves car at her convenience.
  21. Probably....I am in Summerlin Centre behind the community park. Feel free to PM me anytime in the future with any local ?'s. Dell
  22. I have been toying with the idea of adding the 5 spoke lightweights as my 2nd set of rims to put winter tires on.......but the wife doesn't like that idea and really loves the sport designs on the car (as do I). Oh well, at least I can dream.
