  1. Have a look at your options listed on your VIN/options decal. IJ2C is the code for the dual battery setup.
  2. Try pulling and reseating the following fuses on the left and right dash panel in order to reset power. 15 and 53 on the left. 14 and 31 on the right. They are for the comfort systems rear control unit which controls the items you listed.
  3. No switch there normally. Looks like someone's mod. Radar jammer maybe?
  4. Nope. The fender badges does not do the car any justice.
  5. Last night I got the "brake pad workshop" message. Looks like time has come for my front pads to be replaced. Done >50,000 km on them. I will be using genuine Porsche pads, as they always perform like factory, no issues :thumbup:
  6. ^+1 If you can hear it unlocking every few minutes, I doubt it would be the solenoid. Sounds like the solenoid is getting energized when it shouldn't be.
  7. Don't forget to do the T piece coolant fitting at the back of the engine when the coolant pipes are getting done.
  8. A fuel tank cap not sealing correctly has been known to cause starting problems, as has a faulty fuel tank vent valve. Quite common. If not, could be plugs, fuel pump etc.
  9. Mine does it every now and again. Dont know if its normal, but there are no fault codes set when it happens.
  10. As has been mentioned already, the 3 C's. Coolant tubes, Coils, Carden shaft. Take care of these and you will be a happy camper. :thumbup:

  12. Indeed most people would - but it must be a language problem. We aren't communicating. The question is - is the latest version BETTER and IMPROVED over the original one(s)? Well I would hope so. That is usually what happens when a part gets replaced with a newer version. :rolleyes: The originals last about 100,000 kms. I had mine replaced at that point with a newer version. Time will tell if it as good or better than the original shaft.

Could be that the wiring for the fuel door release and tailgate release is hidden behind the door panel and was never connected or wrong type door interior panel may have been installed or replaced in the past, but this wouldn't explain why the simple push pull fuel panel latch works. Would be interesting to know if the fuel door release actuator is fitted. Definately very strange/suspect that the I4E2 code is listed but not active.
  16. Looks like the latest gen Cayennes have also dropped the fuel door unlock switch in favour of the car lock feature.
  17. ........ And what are little kiddies going to do with an unlocked fuel door? An opportunity to do a lot more than a locked one. :thumbup:
  18. If the car is unlocked - the fuel door is unlocked. Press on the trailing edge and it pops open. And it doesn't lock with the auto-lock for speed - it only locks when you lock the car with the key (button or in the door.) Just like my BMWs actually. Seems much simpler then having to press a button to open the fuel door. Mmm, I think the deliberate action of pushing a fuel panel release switch provides just that extra bit of security especially if the car is unlocked, and their are little kiddies around.
