  1. both fan s are working but just at 2nd fan stage. where are the relay's location Loren?
  2. hello members getting stuck into fan related problem. car: porsche carrera 2 my 2000 problems: the heating circuit reaches 225 degrees, the 2nd fan stage its starting and cooled down to 194 degrees. I connected the durametric and try to activate fan stage 1 and fan stage 2 and the first one doesnt work despite it states that activation command its sent from the beggining what are the potential issues thanks
  3. Hello people I noticed that one of the many new great features offered by the new Durametric Tool software version is to perform the brake bleeding with a simple click command. But I also noticed on that test info icon that the "bleeding screw" must be opened prior to perform the brake bleeding command,i don't have any ideea which screw it has to be opened? The support team from Durametric also don't know. Loren and all guru's please advice
  4. @Loren could you please advice the location or the part number for the part in question(valve lift control driver-sensor-actuator or what it is) thank's
  5. RFM thank's man i have tryed to look but i did not see anything on that area especially tht the exhaust is hit and there is no room left. i also have tryed to see where this sensor is in parts diagram but i can not found anything could you please indicate where is the exact location in parts manual? thank's in advance
  6. thank's RMF could please advice the location of them,i;ve looked in parts diagram i have and i have found nothing
  7. SOLVED hello guy's i got this code P0026 Porsche fault code 579 - Valve lift control driver bank 1 any advice is appreciated @loren and all guru's please help i have no ideea what is wrong
  8. i bought my car with an gps transmiter mounted. one day..same simptoms, lights ,oil test come on but no sound from the starter my baterry was 12,2 v,changed a new one, voltages goes to 12,7 and...nothing new. finnaly it turned to be the gps reciver(it is under the fuse panel) wich was probablly malfunctioning,i remove it and car started instanntly you should also check this out
  9. i agree just that instead of the after cat sensor( 30 in image ) the pipe is straight with no hole no sensor nothing. do you think it is possibile to be in the exhaust end canister? very curious since i get an fault code for this after cat sensor ....... updated, here is the o2 sensor location
  10. i still can not figure where is the 2nd sensor located.
  11. Loren the x51 dme is possibile? could you brifelly describe the newer components in the 05-07 carrera 2?are they so important? i assume that the 997 dme software is just an improvement of 996 i bought my car in los angeles 1 year ago it is an us model as far as i can see(cluster in milles etc) but here is the vin: W POAA29922S620466
  12. thank you and appreciate your support. the row dme programm should be stored in the piwis, this is corect?i ask this becuase i did not dee wich operation is to select the row dme programinng to be inputed my car is us model this is for sure. also you said that there are several programms for my car to choose.what is your opinion?should the x51 dme be an option?or the newer 05- 997(with325hp)?or the gt3?i'm very curious if this is an option but not sure if they will "fit" into my motronic.. another issue is that i have look over the 2nd sensor for bank 1(driver side wich actually end on passenger side) and surprise. on both pipes after the exhaust mainfold is only one.is the "before cat "sensor,so there is only 2 sensors and not 4!! do you think that on my model year is possibile that the 2 nd sensors to be located somwehre else?on the porshe diagram parts i have seen them related to be on the straight pipe after the cat based on the p0139 code i have made a search and found have found a nice deal for 996.606.178.01 sensor but i can not locate him so far(item number 30 in the image) i repeat,on the straight pipes after the cat there is no sensor at all!i have just look for 30 min in that area from the cat untill the exhaust canister.
  13. You could also re-program the DME to use the RoW program (which ignores the 2nd O2 sensors). Of course, you would not pass any US smog tests. Loren i want to re-program my DME with ROW to get rid off the 2nd sensor p0139 code, but the dealer say it's not possibile(as far as i figured, he simplly don't know how to do it) please advice It maybe illegal in your country - which maybe why a dealer won't do it. You are likely going around your countries emissions laws. It is all about choosing the DME program. Depending on your model year there are usually 2 to 5 programs to choose from. Thank you Loren here the emissions-admissions tests are not an concern. the dealer simplly don't know how to do it. could you please advice the exact operation wich is to be made trough the piwis? i can try to print it and go to them and try to make it. i am particullary interested also if there is a better version for my DME,i consider to remove the cat's if it's possibile and also i have read your statment that ROW DME programming will pass over the 2 oxygen sensor fault codes wich US DME display it,i have a p0139 fault code since last week please advice

  15. thank you i like the 15w50 motul.. what can you tell me about flashing the ECU?it worth to buy an "universal" soft from one of those many ecu-flashing sellers,or i should use a piggyback unichip module after some dyno testing to adjust te fuel and timming? or there is other ways?or doesen't worth?what's your opinion,i'm very curious thank's again
  16. if you want to change, change it only with the facelifted 996 headlights or the 997,wich one you like more. i know it involve also some parts but the effect worth the effort there is also a guy in france who do it,jaqueslemonde i think, don't know about the cost you should check it.
  17. 996.343.531.19 is the correct spring for a MY02- RoW M030 Coupe. 996.343.531.11 is for MY01 and older. Yes, you can buy the X74 parts separately - but the cost would likely be higher. For X74 the springs, shocks, upper support, and bump stop all change. i went with row m030with i founded to be less harsh and more friendlly for bumpers and daily driving generally row m030 installed today. Gert and Maureen from Carnewal do theire job simplly perfect however i have achieved around 25 mm instantlly and i guess is more to come after a few hundred miles.i persoanlly like it but is this normally? quite of "low" for the white-green setup standard was brown-blue
  18. I'm at the understanding starting th engine cold and if the tap noise is there for a couple of seconds it's normal, as long as it goes away! thank's guys what upset me is the period of time it was for 10-15 minutes also idling and also driving and again idling @RFM the oil was changed 3000miles ago and i will change it asap, but it is the competition from Motul i guess i will have to watch it and if it become more usuall,as you adviced,a check operation of the cylinder head must be performed to see about the valve lifters and eventually change there is a DIY or the valve clearence check procedure somwhere about it?i have searched for it but.. thank's again guys for share
  19. hey guys need some opinions i've been out of town for 1 month, get back yesterday directlly in the garage to my baby, start the engine and notice kind of powerfull regulated sound down in the back,it look to me like an valve clearance issue. the noise went off onlly approximately 10-15 minutes of driving. please advice
  20. @loren please advice if 996.343.531.19 is the corect part no for 996 c2 my 02 row m030 front sport springs. i am confused since tequipment list that 996.343.531.11 is the corect one also do you have any ideea if porsche offer the x74 front springs as individual parts?if so,they will fit in the strut standard assembly? thank's in advance
