  1. l o l dude cheers! Loren..i recognize the codes made due to low or disconected battery but the problem is that there are situation wich can not be reproduced anymore (due to the lack of some control modules) and that's why i preffer not to erase the all fault codes yet. if you looked over the submited log you will see that there are refference about many control modues that does not signal.. it intrigues me the mesagen in the end of diagnose (wich can not be reproduced anymore i don't know why was not stored like the rest of the log) wich state that there are 4 control modules wich does not repond , dme , transfer case and i try to find out wich are the "electrical system " and "off road stabilizer" control modules wich durametric tool also reffer that they did not respond. i have looked in the PET Porsche Cayenne list of all ecu's but no sign of them..maybe you can highlight them form me. A mention is that after looking under the plastic cover on the right side of wipers i have seen that there are 2 connectors with not ecu's i assume that 1 is for the engine ecu and the other... bellow list of ecu's..
  2. that's not a free copy available anywhere from the members?nobody want to share??
  3. 2008 accident cayenne turbo.import arrived today, put new battery but not starting ,not rolling, diagnose with durametric ,resulting that 4 modules are missing dme electrical transfer box off road stabilizer it should refer to dme = engine ecu, transfer box=automatic transmission ecu,off road stabilizer= level adjusting ecu? we have looked in the wiper area-passenger side and there are 2 connectors empty outthere, i assume 1 is for the dme ecu questions. is there somewhere a service workshop-repair manual for the cayenne too? where are all of those control units located on the car? are those control units interchangeable with other years cayenne , maybe vw touareg , even if not all of them , partially.. i try to repair this car so any thought's appreciated, bellow the durametric full scanlog: Short Test Porsche Stability Management (PSM/ABS8) Current Fault Codes 668: Vehicle voltage terminal 30 Upper limit value exceeded 668: Vehicle voltage terminal 30 Value below lower limit value 1314: DME control module No signal/communication 1310: Level control module No signal/communication 1826: Power supply steering wheel electronics Airbag Current Fault Codes 1739: Sensor for airbag (passenger) Open circuit 588: Driver's airbag ignition circuit stage 1 Upper limit value exceeded 589: Passenger's airbag ignition circuit stage 1 Upper limit value exceeded 1587: Driver's airbag ignition circuit stage 2 Upper limit value exceeded 590: Passenger's airbag ignition circuit stage 2 Upper limit value exceeded 654: Belt tensioner ignition circuit driver's side front Upper limit value exceeded 1211: Belt tensioner driver's side rear Upper limit value exceeded 1212: Belt tensioner passenger's side rear Value below lower limit value 1590: Disconnecting relay Upper limit value exceeded Instrument Cluster for Cayenne Current Fault Codes 562: Oil level sensor - Open circuit/short circuit to B+, test conditions are not-completed, fault is currently active and is not causing a DTC light 1299: Gateway - No signal/communication, test conditions are not-completed, fault is currently active and is not causing a DTC light 1310: Level control module - No signal/communication, test conditions are not-completed, fault is currently active and is not causing a DTC light 1314: DME control module - No signal/communication, test conditions are not-completed, fault is currently active and is not causing a DTC light 3294: Headlight control unit left - No signal/communication, test conditions are not-completed, fault is currently active and is not causing a DTC light 3295: Headlight control unit right - No signal/communication, test conditions are not-completed, fault is currently active and is not causing a DTC light Steering wheel electronics No Faults Found Porsche Keyless Entry Security System (KESSY) Current Fault Codes 1176: Immobiliser key Implausible signal 668: Vehicle voltage terminal 30 Open circuit/short circuit to ground 87: Terminal 30 (start enable) Open circuit/short circuit to ground 230: Selector lever position switch >P< Short circuit to ground 1314: DME control module No signal/communication 1299: Gateway Please read out fault memory Doors and Rear Hatch No Faults Found Seat Memory Driver Current Fault Codes 668: Vehicle voltage terminal 30 Value below lower limit value 1898: Steering column adjustment sensor axial (Hall sensor) Short circuit to B+ Gateway Current Fault Codes 0214: Power supply Value below lower limit value 0538: CAN comfort OFF Open circuit 01D2: Steering column switch (with electronic unit) No signal/communication 0519: CAN Infotainment Faulty 01CB: PCM2 No signal/communication 3CDE: Headlight control unit left No signal/communication 3CDF: Headlight control unit right No signal/communication 0522: DME control module No signal/communication 051E: Level control module No signal/communication 01D7: Control unit for electronically controlled damping (EGD) No signal/communication Air Conditioning Current Fault Codes 819: Air-conditioning pressure sensor Open circuit/short circuit to ground Park Assist No Faults Found Panorama Roof No Faults Found Tow Bar Current Fault Codes 532: Power supply Value below lower limit value Seat Memory Passenger Current Fault Codes 668: Vehicle voltage terminal 30 Value below lower limit value 2341: Fore-and-aft adjustment sensor Short circuit to B+ Automatic Tailgate Current Fault Codes 3234: Function restrict. due to critical vehicle electric. system condition 532: Power supply Value below lower limit value 1336: CAN comfort OFF No signal/communication 446: Function restricted due to undervoltage Value below lower limit value Windshield wiper No Faults Found Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) Current Fault Codes 1312: CAN drive Please read out fault memory 1317: Instrument cluster No signal/communication 2214: Tyre pressure warning Tow Bar Current Fault Codes 532: Power supply Value below lower limit value
  4. well...rs29..i think that's the "yellow" pagid right?as well as rs44 is the orange type yellow or orange i will try them for sure goodrige are allready there on castrol..i don't know,i am a dedicated fan off motul fluids so far the rbf600 factory line from them has no matching opponent.as well motul oil etc.. ABS turned off...sound good sometimes but somethimes not. but thnak's for the hint i will try it just for fan hope i can deactivate it via durametric ,if not via his fuse but who carry pagid at reasonable prices?i see that paragon is a dealer for united states, maybe other members can advice cheers
  5. you can count in the near future on a clutch job Cheers
  6. everything it's lead to Pagid as far as i can see i also understand that the Pagid Orange are the best suit for my needs? what about the Pagid black? who carry them at resonable prices anyway?
  7. hello guys The time of the clutch has arrived. The problem:as we allready ordered from a friend with an simmilar Porsche a new kit from Porsche(disc, bearing and pressure plate)i have noticed that the pressure plate and bearing are the Porche 996 PET numbers but the clutch disc had an 997 starting code. We mounted it but he stared to smell when driving a bit aggresive and after a week he started to slip again. I guess that maybe there is an imballance betwen the old flywheel, new pressure plate and the 997 disc dimenssion. The question:what is the best sollution as a clutch disc for this 2002 Porsche Carrera 2-gen 996 ? an 996 gt3 sachs disc?an aftermaket ?what? I was personally kind of satissfied over the 996 genuine clutch but if there is a way to improve...i look for it , as well as i don't like that clutch setup allready offered by Porsche dealer to us. Cheers
  8. congrats, nice lady you have treat her with care since is your first real date
  9. if you have to glue, then i strongly suggest you to only glue them with the glue used for car glasses(most of the cases look like an silicon, black colour) work with care when apply, and after keep them tight for couple of hours and they will sit there forever cheers
  10. Hello guys It is obvious that the standard set up on 996 C2 + C4 ( Zimmerman discs+Texstar pads ) could use an improvement. The Texstar pad feeling is plastic and noneffective and the rotors start to veil after some hard braking (the rear at least) I know that an big kit upgrade might cure but it is kind of expensive those days So i have tried over the time the brembo pads and yes that's an improvement but also i am curious about other pads as Pagid,Ebc(red or yellow stuff),Jurid etc I m sure that some reputable members here have also step into this issue.
  11. i did a search but nothing much over the transmision's issues. i lifted up a 996 manual gear box put it in 6th gear and running to 4000 rpm.some kind of noises come from the gearbox i listen it under the car and it make a sound i think too loud as it supossed to be. please advice for an tranny working tutorial, part's assy etc
  12. mine too(my99-01)any ideea where to get the 02-05 manual?
  13. thank you loren i will wire them as a bypass for the ballast and see if the stage 1 can be activated keep up the good work
  14. Loren PST and not to mention PIWIS are the tools but not as much affordable as the durametric. however, checked the temp sensor is OK removed the bumper and plastic housings of the wheels, diconected the fan coupling and measure it. when i send the comand via durametric for stage 1 it measure 12,65v on 1 circuit ,when i send the comand for 2nd stage display 12,65 for the other circuit.there are 3 wires out there per fan.1 brown ground, and 2 yellow each for a fan stage.so there is bassically a fan problem. what do you advice?
  15. i will check it in the next hours, what i should measure?the resistance?wich is the corect value? do you think it can be his fault?there are no fault codes after all.. let's see it other way..if the DME actually send the command to start the first stage what eles it can be(except the relays) very strange behaviour
  16. i have not seen any strange wires accros.but if they were re wired as you suggest,it supose that the fan's start at approx 190. they start at 225. i don't know exactly how the Porsche system work but i assume that the stage 1 has to start at approx 190 and stage 2 at approx 225. Loren where is the sensor that send this command, because i don't think that the ballast resistors do that i guess that this sensor it has to be actually in the water to report the accurate temperature.this faulty sensor is the only think i have in mind considering the test's we've done but this is also bizare considering we have no related fault codes.very anoyng ANY INPUT IS APPRECIATED thank's for your support
  17. yes it is strange that both are not working on low speed.but assuming that resistors are both broken(very few chances both radiators are bought new, with new fan s new housing and new resistors)why they still work on stage 2.those resistors are in charge sending the water temperature to dme? it could be a dme software error?
  18. no fault code via drive links activation i can activate the stage 2 no problem,it state that the drive link is running and they start..when i activate the stage 1 the software states that drive link is running but the fan s not starting.i was assuming that is a relay issue but is not i switched the relays and veryfy them all.
  19. on both no stage 1 either can not activate stage1 with durametric.
  20. Loren the relays panel look kind of different that the schematic you give.maybe because it is an german model. i have checked all the relays, they work fine.could you please advice where are the water temperature sensors wich send water temperature and activate the fan's.both of them the one for stage 1 and the other for stage 2.thank's
  21. i was assuming that the brake pump must have his own bleeding screw. no i am not satissfied at all. they are worse than the time then she was having rubber lines. now with steel lines+motul racing brake fluid i was expecting an improvement. also the abs is feelt during a kind of hard brake but not that hard to be expected, i was assuming that the abs pump got air somehow when i changed the lines and brake fluid and that's why i wanted to bleed it via that software. i am in contact with durametric, they try to find a solution because it is a software bug on theire toy but i will go at porsche to hook up an piwis and try to do the job.i bleed it manually a couple of tine but no air. i can not understand how the hell is possibile not to bleed the full air even if it is in the abs pump,i bleed the hell out of them.
  22. here is the panel . porsche my 2000 http://img541.imageshack.us/img541/4121/image014pk.jpg
  23. Loren, they are 8 .could you please advice wich one is?
