  1. The noise you hear is the airbag squib.I had the very same problem last week, got second hand one from porsche breakers,25 quid.Straight forward to fit.Its a common enough problem, because its not a very robust item.
  2. Im thinking on removing the oil filter for a inspection,iv covered maybe 500 miles since oil change,so if its a pending problem it should itself again.Iv never used anything in conjunction with good quality oil.
  3. It was my first oil change on buying the car, first thing i done was fit Mobil1 0-40w.
  4. Yip,well it has porsche history upto 78k in 2005 and thats it.It now has 92k i bought it with 91k.I removed front engine cover and it likes a new drive belt has been fitted.Engine sounds perfect.Im guessing its been to a indy.
  5. Can you clean it up and take a picture -- the guides in my 3.2L were brownish -- I don't remember seeing anything in there that was green. Mike Sorry iv disposed of it,it was hundreds if little pieces, almost like fine gravel, but def not magnetic, first thing i checked! :o
  6. Hi all,on changing my oil i decided to inspect the filter, surprisingly it was full of tiny green particles, non magnetic, almost like ceramic but im thinking plastic will go hard with the heat as well.Could it be timing chain guide breaking down?my car has 92k miles and runs like new,as sweet as a new engine, could it be a new engine or rebuilt?
  7. I fitted p zeros n4 rated on the rear,18inch.Tremendous grip,even in the wet.
  8. I figured as much, thanks anyway. Was kind of hoping the previous owner of my vehicle is a member of your site and was interested in talking. My car came out of England damaged last June,02 lapis blue Boxster s.
  9. Is there a way of tracing work carried out on a vehicle under warranty, after market warranty, not done at Porsche? My vehicles is a UK car.
  10. Maybe this is why i cant get my lights straight!!! :o
  11. Its the 3 adjusting screws underneath, they had been taken off,new ones off a 996 have been fitted, passenger side is good, maybe my driver side wing is a bit out of shape.... :o
  12. Hi,after replacing a front wing on my car i cant seem to get the headlights to fit nice and neat...... is there a special procedure to follow?
  13. Got it,7578,thanks alot. A wealth of knowledge. :renntech: B)
