  1. why would you install 2 din units instead of 1 double din unit? double din looks so good compared to those flip out screens! go for double din!!

Thx TP, Wel I know for the 3 wires, I followed the TSB, and it's quite easy, but can't see any change in the low beam when I activate the Hi beam! - 1BK/RD wire to hook up tu the BK/YE wire of the right windschield washer jet - 1 White wire to hook up with the white wire from the headlights - 1 brown wire to the chassi! the 1 plus in each Unit! TP, could you tell me what the BK/YE wire is supposed to give? Constant 12? or ACC switched? And the white wire is the one of the Hi Beam I presume? So I can check with a multimeter! thx

Hi, I just installed my retrofit kit today, Pretty easy, but I can't find a good place for the module, the drawing is so small on the TSB that i can't see exactly where they put it, does some one have a picture? Also I wanted to test the functionnality, and only connected 1 side, but I can't see any difference between the connected headlight and the other one. How can I be sure I functionning OK? thanks
  4. Indeed, I tried this on my old amberlights, it's an easy method but leaves a lot of dust inside the light so, don't do it! solder method is less easy but more efficient!
  5. But I tought that with a retrofit kit there was not headlight leveling system even in Europe!

Hi, I looked foor the litronic kit pn and found out that it's different for USA, this seems to be due to the headlights all the oder parts are the same in the kit USA: Kit: 000 044 900 41 Headlight: L: 996 631 157 07 R:996 631 158 07 Europe: Kit: 000 044 900 40 Headlight: L: 996 631 157 01 R:996 631 158 01 Does somebody know the difference between the headlights? The second kit is the right one for belgium he? My steering wheel is on the left of my gear knop. Also in the TSB for the kit installation, the speak about another TSB group 0/9 section 94 15 05 does some has it? thank you
  8. Thx Orient express, that's already 1 think, and do you know how to remove the windshield frame trim? I mean the frame that behind the sunvisor, becauseI have to route the cable from the rear view mirror to the fuse box.

  10. HI, I just ordered the rainsensor kit pn. 996 612 981 00. I have the TSB for the installation, but on point 1.2 and 1.3 they say: 1.2 After removing the driver's side windshield frame trim and the A-pillar trim, route the harness from the interior rearview mirror to relay carrier 1. 1.3 Remove the left side vent with headlight switch. (Technical Manual, Group 7, Section 70 18 37). but I don't know how to execute this 2 points. Could someone help me? thank you
  11. Hi, I'm not sure but I think there are 2 different 3 spokes steering wheels, am I correct? the standart one, and a sport model, smaller ans thicker? I'd like to have the p/n and prices. thank you
  12. Thanks TP, Do you have other pictures I mean side picture and rear pictures? I'm wondering where the bypass pipes go in the muffler, I'm planning to modify my stock muffler to get about the same sound. I'm an engineer, so i shouldn't be that difficult, if I can find the right info about the design. do you have the diameter of the bypass pipes?

  17. hi, Could someone tell me if this would fit? I mean I know it fits but will the wheels not stock to much out? the wheels are the standart ones with 52mm offset for the rear wheels. If someone has a pic... I saw pics of a boxster with the 21mm spacers and it looks ok! so 17mm should fit without any problem
  18. Hi, I would like to buy an ehaust trim (chrome) from Porsche, but is it difficult to install? I think the standart one is just attached wit 2 Hexa M6 bolts, but I saw the trim fir 02/- model (double horizontal) I would like to know how this one is attached ans I I could make it fit my 1999 exhaust? Some picts would be welcome. thx
  19. I know they are different since on 987 they are "crystal" clear, but do they have the same shapen would a 987 side marker fit a 986? I like them more...
  20. I have a mid 98 boxster and have the sticker in the front boot that specifies pressures for 18" so I guess 18" are ok for my car?
  21. Hi TP, I saw the hack you posted, seems very simpel, but is this working for european cars also? In europe we don't have daytime running lights on cars. could you maybe explain what it is? As I understand, when you start the engine the lights of position 1 on the light switch are always on? Am i correct? I would like to have te side repeters to ben on when I'm driving, I there an hack for? thx
  22. I ordered last week my caliper decals monday or something and I received them yesterday! and I from blegium. something must have gone wrong!
  23. Hi, I just bought new rims (turbo's) for my boxster, I putted winter tires on it, because winter is coming, tires are conti winter contact 265/35/18 and 225/40/18 They are porsche approved tires. but I can't find any recommendations for pressures. maybe there is TSB? thank you
