  1. Thanks Jeff. going to see if a local plastic shop will work with me.
  2. Jeff, we are looking to replace the glass bezel face the covers the fuel gage in our 98 986... I was detailing the car and the instrument cluster was fully removed for good measure, but a household object and a cat  interfered with it and this part of the glass is snapped. WONDERFUL :( I read in the thread below that there might be hope. I already removed the bezel with a utility knife (may or may not have been the best thing but the cut is clean and will glue fine) http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...%20Filter&st=15 Where do i get a cut piece of clear plastic for replacement? I borrowed your pic ... this is exactly what we're talking about here... Thanks Rob
  3. Tool Pants, How difficult is it and what tools are required to swap out a 986 VDo for a 5 guage 996 like you did?
  4. Definitely not. That's why I posted it there. The connection to the comcast server is slow. If anyone has trouble with it just PM me for the info.
  5. Ahahah this is great. First weather... now Renntech... thank you loren, for you officially made my wife's sh*t list. :D
  6. Just though I'd share some local business with the world. The Ultimate Garage is mainly a supplier of Facom tools and Lista Cabinets (nice stuff), but they also sell parts for Porsche, BMW, and MB. Apperantly they outfitted Prestige Porsche (an excellent NY/NJ dealer) http://www.ultimategarage.com/prestige.html http://www.prestigeporsche.com But most importantly i wanted everyone to see this guy's personal garage re-design  He's a porsche man B) enjoy
  7. l33t9eek, welcome  Grant's RS can be seen here.
  8. Okay, here it is... it went pretty well. I threw this page together so we could save some file space here (plus as a comcast customer you get 25megs of free webspace on their lagging servers, so what the heck... not a permanent solution but good for now) http://home.comcast.net/~renntechreference/ Tool Pants and PorscheFan, thanks again for the information and insight.
  9. What color is your cab??? (I don't have an '02 options guide on me) Beautiful!!!
  10. Definitely. I'll post my progress this weekend. Thanks guys.
  11. Loren, Tool Pants and all, I want to remove the boxster air intake facias from the rear quarter panels in order to make molds of them. I will be developing something custom and i'm not a huge fan of Techart or Tweeks intakes. Is this possible without removing the rear quarter panels? Thanks, Parker
  12. Just found a black set from a 1997 Boxster on eBay! "Buy It Now" works like a charm in stituations like these :) $250... I called them first to ask the condition, all good/no water damage
  13. it definitely looks shorter than the turbo, maybe in the cockpit. perhaps the back "seats" really are missing. and the rims look like they're 17". It's a Boxster Turbo :P
  14. Jeff... Can't wait for the DVD set ;) FYI... used B&M for sale on 6Speedonline.... http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/showthr...=&threadid=1074 $150 + shipping
  15. OK- what if the thread count on the left cable was slightly off from the original setting... a little on the short side? This is what happened to me in HASTE  last year. My shifter is slightly tilted toward the driver's side, but the play on the tranny is the same. Has this changed the dynamics/efficiency of changing gears?
