  1. In case anyone else has this problem, the issue is the weight in the seat belt has locking in the impact position. The best way to get rid of it if you can is to raise the seat back enough to get at the lower bolt for the belt and unbolt it. Raise the seat and the belt should slide back in and release. FYI, mine was the center seat belt. Also I was told that it helps to click in the seat belt when folding down the seat.
  2. Hello, were you able to fix this? My 04 turbo has the same exact problem. It is very tight and can only be raised about half way max on the seat back. Thanks.
  3. Very interesting as when I was doing some testing on our 3.4 swap I noticed that the vacuum actuator was not moving when I reved up the throttle. We have a flat spot occuring where it is not pulling hard until you get past 4.5K rpms. Then it takes off like crazy. I thought it was a vacuum leak at the intake couplers though does not seem to be the case now as I have that adjusted out where a clamp was falling off. Anyone know why the actuator would not be moving? I verified the wiring is correct, is there a vacuum line routing somewhere to check out? TIA
  4. Can you give me some details on where you got the tube and intercooler couplers? Well, the tube came off of just an exhaust tube availible anywhere like autozone. If I were to do it again I would probably get an aluminum one, but that can be done later. I just cut it down to about 10" if I remember correctly. It depends on how much of the original plastic intake ends you use. The intercooler couplers I got off of Ebay. I needed to have something that will strech as the OD of the plastic intake ends is 3.1" and they only sell 3.0" ID couplers. So I got some with no fabric reinforcements.
  5. This stuff was made by TTP in Germany. It is all very nice stuff. We did have a problem with the intake system. The air box was very nice, but they were using a flexible hose to connect the air box to the throttle body. The hose rubbed against something and caused an air leak and I would think a smooth pipe would be better for intake. The guys at AutoSport fabricated a better set up for me. Perhaps by now TTP has a better solution. Thanks Peter. I had a similar problem with our intake. At the first track event we went to my first attempt of extending the tube with some flexible material/tape did not work, got a hole and messed up the engine. The second track event which was one week later had the fix from the previous one which was dryer hose. It worked for a good while, but rubbed a hole on the last session of the last day. My wife had to trailer her car home on my trailer. I have got a steel tube now with some intercooler couplers to connect to the plastic ends. This should be good enough to not rub anymore holes.
  6. Peter, we are experiencing the same that you did on our 3.4 swap with the stock exhaust system. I am currently on the search for upgrades for the headers and cats and may do an exhaust, not sure. Where did you go to get yours? Are they custom or are they performance 3.2 parts? Thanks, TJ
  7. Hi everyone. I was hoping to find a nice set of instructions/manuals/go-bys/etc. for a 3.4 Engine Swap. I tried searching, but searching for what I wanted here is tough as I could not search under 3.4. does anyone know of anything like this existing? Anyone know where to pick up the factory manuals? I have the motor sitting in my garage right now and it is going into my wife's 97 Boxster. We have the computer and harnesses that came with the engine and are starting to go on the search for the other parts. I will be doing the swap in my garage. TIA.
  8. Sounds good, thanks for the reply. Anyone know what sized belt that would be?
  9. Hello, I am currently looking at deleting my wife's AC out of her 97 Boxster as it is not working and the car is becoming more of a track car anyways. She is all for it too. Now when I deleted the AC off of my 968 there was a special bracket I needed to support the alternator. Is that required for the Boxster? Has anyone done a write up on deleting the AC on the Boxster yet? TIA.
  10. I wonder then if I could "patch" this then with some sealant of some sort on the outside where it is leaking if I cleaned it up...any thoughts?
  11. We have determined that hte oil pan gasket is leaking and I am going to unbolt the lower plate of the oil pan and replace the gasket during our oil change this year. Can anyone provide the tightening torques for the bolts to the lower plate on the oil pan and what liquid gasket is called for? TIA!
  12. That was exactly what I needed, thank you for the posting. The diagonal brace and side member torques are the primary ones I needed. Thanks a ton!
  13. I was not able to download the link. I will try to get the picture up, basically it is all of the front bolts that bolt in from underneath to the body. Thanks.
  14. Does anyone know the torque values to attach the diagonal braces to the body when removing the sway bar? Also, does anyone know the three bolts that thread into the body of the car that hold the control arm bracket that also mounts the sway bar to body mounting brackets and the torque values for those bolts? I have to get one of these manuals... TIA.
  15. Well, I got the bar removed and replaced, now I just need to find the torque values for all of the bolts for the diagonal braces and bolts on the wheel carrier's to the body part that has 2 for the sway bar bushings on each side and then one for the diagonal brace on the carrier, and then 2 on each end fore and aft.
