  1. After searching, I cannot find any info on installing a Blue Tooth kit in MY '03 C4S. I have a PCM II in my car. I want to buy a Samsung Blue Tooth phone. Can anyone tell me what I'm up against to get this installed?
  2. Loren, hopefully you can help me. I bought a PCM2 from a wrecked 996, and had Euroclassics Porsche install the unit (thanks to CoreyNJ's instructions, which I gave to the dealership). I SHOULD have gotten the code from them at the time. When I picked up the vehicle, it worked perfectly, and still does. Now, I'm have to replace my battery. Is there any way of getting the code BEFORE I unhook the batter? I'd hate to remove the PCM2, to get the serial number. The VIN will be useless to identify the code, as my VIN doesn't get recognized by Porsche as having a PCM2. Any ideas? Regards, Richard
  3. Traffic Pro data will soon be outdated, and there will be no new disks. There's a new Pioneer with a fixed screen....it's a very hot unit....can't remember the number, but I'd do a google search.....you can usually find used PCM IIs....that's what I did.....they're adequate, but the good news is it is OEM, and looks right.
  4. In case you are interested, I have an unopened new set of the latest PCM II disks for use in a 3.0 system. I'd recommend getting the firmware upgraded. Eventually, you will need to do it anyway, since NavTech will not be making disks for the 2.0 firmware. It gives you better map colors (as well as a choice). You can have them for $110 shipped. They cost about $179. email me at alex_garcia@mindspring.com <{POST_SNAPBACK}> thanks anyway, Alex, but I'd already bought them from navteq.....now I wish I hadn't.....new disks are coming out in August, and there's no free upgrade.
  5. When I called Sunset Porsche, they reported there are 3 ROW's for 996 C4S: 10mm, 20mm, 30mm. All different prices.....now I'm really confused as to which set to get....my needs are cosmetic only.....any suggestions? By the way, I'm sticking w/18" wheels. thanks,
  6. Can anyone tell me if the sideskirts on a C4S (MY '03) are any different than a narrowbody? Please tell me what my options are for sideskirts for my car, and what you think looks best. Thanks, Richard
  7. I've done a search under heated seats, installing heated seats, after market heated seats, with no luck. It's been written on other forums that the instructions are here...I just can't find them. Can anyone point me in a direction, please. Thanks, Richard
  8. Gentlemen...this thread got a little confusing for low tech me....I'm purchasing a PCM2 which came out of a wrecked '03 TT, to install in my '03 C4S....there are no disks in the transaction....I was given a set of 2.0 disks....am I to assume that the compatible disks will be from 2.0, or do I have to wait to fire it up to find out? If it is 2.0, and my disks work, is there any sense to upgrading to 3.0? The install is being done at an authorized Porsche dealer. thanks
  9. I'm looking to replace the gauges in my '03 C4S....I want the whitish/silver gauges I've seen in so many P's here.....is the part number 996 641 223 20 70C . thanks, richard
  10. Is there a difference in the PCM2 for a Cayenne, and a PCM2 for a 996 C4S? I'm hearing opposing views on this, and the only honest place I know to turn for advice is right here. Please advise. Richard (edit - removed all caps - no shouting here please - thanks, Loren)
