  1. Thanks, I think relative values are very useful, even though they are not absolute or exact. Again, thank you for doing all of these and sharing with us!
  2. IFLYASA, thanks for going through the trouble of putting it up and sharing, I know the dyno runs are not free. Do you recall what the Fabspeed site claims as HP increase? This may be an interesting validation. I have similar cold air intake mod and GHL mufflers.
  3. on my car, the flange does sit flush with the block. I do not use a torque wrench to put it back together.
  4. When I get that problem (and I had), the ignition on will release them. You still stuck?
  5. I recommend you get a code reader and read the codes off the OBDII. If you don't have a reader,an autostore, like Autozone, lend readers to be used in their parking lot. Write down the codes if any, and we can troubleshoot
  6. I use Falken 452 for every day driving, they are fine and low cost. I keep separate wheels and tires for track days.
  7. Please use avaition fuel and /or the highest octane you can find for all your everyday driving. And don't forget to use your VISA card when purchasing, the Amercan economy thanks you for your support.
  8. This may sound like a bad joke, but it is not. How much gas you have? How old is it?
  9. You may want to get the car up, remove the wheel, and spin the rotor with the car on neutral. Try to pin point it that way?
  10. Sounds like brake pads or glazing on the rear rotors. I would recommend some emery paper (sand paper for metal) fine grid, and do some light hand sanding of the rear rotors, sand radially (from hub to edge). Do it softly first, spin the wheel to check, do it again. If it is glazing, a few repeat steps will remove or significantly reduce the noise. Check your pads too, make sure they are good. Another potential is the heat shield over the rotor, which tend to bend and come in contact with the rotor. But that typically happens after a hot track day with heavy braking. If that is the case, I solve that with a long flat screwdriver, push on the shield to it is not in contact with the rotor.
  11. There is a "smokers delete" kit that replaces the ashtray with a small compartment, great for coins, cell phone, peanut M&Ms in long trips. Then you can leave the lighter in place, replace it with a porsche flashlight (see paragon products, about $39), or put in the plug that comes with the "delete" kit. The plug needs some simple shaving to fit in.
  12. Is it hard to pull and then opens, or hard to pull and won't open? The difference is the latter one, sounds like you need to reset the locking mechanism. Close all doors, and use the remote to lock and unlock a couple of times, then open the door and pull the hatch, should be back to normal.
  13. Wow, that is an interesting failure mode. Angry girlfriends, wife, kids, or pissed off OJ recently?
  14. Glad you found it, sorry it is severed. Is it broken or just came off? I have had it loose, but not broken. Sorry, can't help you there.
  15. I wonder if the problem may be under the car, on the transmission driver side near the rear wheels. The cables connect to a linkage, and have two places they could come loose, first the spring clip that connects to the linkage, then the ball that connects to the linkage. Here is a diagram, you have to remove the rear cover to see them, but if they are loose or off, it will be obvious.
  16. Try this place, order the full catalog while on line. It is very comprehensive. You can always go to the dealer... http://www.automotion.com/Productpage.aspx...m+Frame+Sealing
  17. I did buy the one that goes on the cup holder and the arm that attaches to the floorboard or the seat bolt. The cupholder one works great, and the lower part has a small cam that adjusts open-close the diameter of the "cup", so it fits very tight. The flexible arm would be better, but I am looking for a place to bolt it in the center console, passenger side. I could bolt it to the seat bold easy enough, just not sure if I want to leave it there. If I could find out how to make the Magellan GPS into a lap timing device, it would be bolted to the floor. It has to be possible by software jockeys, as other GPS timing devices like Performancebox can do it. Still searching that one......
  18. The Autozone reader would see it, so you are probably okay.
  19. Did you get a chance to read any codes with an OBDII reader? CEL light will not come on, remember, and you may still have something else going on. Sounds like you did it okay at the dealer if they truly flushed all the fluid (not just drained and refilled) and changed the filter. Filter is cheap, about $35, and would add 5 minutes to the job (remove 1 screw, pull filter out, push new filter in, screw in)
  20. Joking aside, that is why I always closed my top at night, critters, in the closed garage, from 8 legged ones to 2 legged little humans with "lollipop hands". Mr. Clean sponges clean up kid crud, but spiders just hide and enjoy living in the car (very COOL spiders, of course). If you don't have that worry, then you can leave it open. Just talking about my experience!
  21. Chuck, no, no lights. If you have access to a code reader however, you should read any codes stored. You can have faults without the CEL on for transmission. If you don't have a code reader, many autopart stores will lend you one to read the codes in their parking lot. I think the code I remember having was 0740 for the pressure regulator. But you may still benefit from a fluid/filter change. I did notice a smoother shifting after it was done.
  22. Spiders. Top up at night so they don't get in and jump at your wife when she is driving, making her scream and panick.
  23. If you lift the rear of the car on the engine point, and see some dark liquid coming out, you have leaky engine mounts. The liquid has the color of dirty oil (which is what it looks like at first glance) but the consistency of coffee (more waterlike). It can happen
  24. Glad it worked. I do remember the dealer part being black, my original was Zenith Blue. But you never really see it anyway :)
