  1. Official statement from Mintex: "Regulation 90 Approvals are being granted by many European Government Authorities, although only the following countries designate R90 in a legal capacity: Germany will accept R90 as an alternative to national requirements. Is the mark standard the same as the German National Standard (KBA)? No, the E mark standard is higher than the KBA standard because it incorporates additonal "speed sensitivity tests" not needed for KBA. It is possible a pad could pass KBA and fail the E test."
  2. Mintex Official website quote: "Not only do all manufacturing sites conform to ISO9002 standard but the brake pads themselves have the added guarantee of being either E-Mark or KBA approved."
  3. quote: "Now you can put these top-quality, asbestos-free pads to work for your Porsche! Constructed of sixteen materials to ensure proper braking response for each specific application, Mintex Brake Pads also conform to the European standard for aftermarket brake pads, carrying the E mark of approval." would this be enough? cheers, //T
  4. Normal replacement pads: Mintex C-Tech pads: both can be purchase at "Mid America Motorworks" Need your opinion :notworthy: cheers, //T
  5. it is for the airfilter to catch the smallest particles so the engine gets as much of clean air as possible and result with a better ignition.
  6. I was surprised too, due to you have paid a futune <_< for such a car and the simplies thing like tilting the steering wheel to optimize the driving position is the base line for driving performance. on the other hand, maybe this these cars are not build for comfort/sport seats but for GT3 seats where you don't have care for tilting the steering wheel to get the optimum driving position  cheers, //T
  7. by TechArt you will be able to use up to 18mm with orginal rims (ET65)
  8. possible solution is to get a smaller steering wheel e.g. 360mm and move the seat up-front :drive:
  9. what pads are you using standard or Pagid yellow or Racing pads?
  10. I have another question regarding this topic. have been reading the GT3 mk1 is using 330mm disc all-around and so do Turbo&C4S. then are the brake system the same on GT3 mk1 as the Turbo&C4S?
  11. I've got these part# for red brake calipers, which modell are they from, BoxsterS or GT3? Part-Nr.: front -996.351.428 & 996.351.429 Part-Nr: back -996.352.425 u. 996.352.426 thx!
  12. so you don't have an understanding woman like this guy in the Boxster Group! he found this on his Boxster one morning, a present from his girlfriend, "Porsche original ShortShifter" :notworthy: Respect! maybe you should write Santa your wish from x-mas :D cheers,//T
  13. oooh Dell, what can I say, my Baby love shoes, just like me :D yeah, serious thought, I have been in discussion with TechArt, their Formula GT/blk rims are awesome but then I saw these from FVD, Modena Shadow, jammi!!! hmmm.....what to do :cursing:
  14. hey all, does anyone know who makes these rims? it is called Modena by FVD, looks likes those Strosek has but yet not 100% identical. cheers, //T
  15. the disadvantage w/ GFK is, when you accidently bump into something the GFK will crack easier than the PU-Rim bumper! the GFK is less flexible material than the PU but then the original PU cost you as double, so you could have an accident and still end up with the same cost as a PU, but an additional paint cost of course. Mr. Rossow at PHG Automotive is a really a nice guy, known him personally over 3 year now, he is also into motorsport. cheers, //T
  16. they will fit w/o problem in the wheelhouse/fender, GT3 MK2 rims 8.5Jx18 ET40 could compare with the Carrera 18" 8Jx18 ET50 w/ 7 mm spacers.
  17. at ebay.de cost you about 699,- euro great source for Porsche parts PHG Automotive
  18. there are different between C2 and C4, but not between Coupe/Cabrio/Targa, correct me if I'm wrong!
  19. quote from MaShaw website: "New German Exact Replica with wiring harness, fits perfect Only $1375.00" then I don't get it, when he says one thing and the website another?
  20. Loren has absolute right, sport muffler alone do give any gain of HP, but then if you upgrade the headers & cats (100-cell), it would be stupid not to upgrade the mufflers to sport muffler to get better flow. and then not forgetting, to let air pressure out you will need to get air, so airfilter/airbox is also an important tuning part.
  21. yeah, baking the unit will release some tensions in the GFK structure and then paint it, otherwise the paint could crack after dry up. that's what I have heard, but your paint-shop should know better.
  22. you mean the GT3/TT spoiler for $1375 right? have seen both replicas in GFK, really nice done and the TT spoiler is build for the narrow body. cheers, //T
