  1. engine stalled 2 time yesterday and payed PZ a visit this morning and the outcome was, not to your surprise, new MAF was installed and after that the engine runs quite calm at idle. the MAF was replaced under Warrenty w/o charge  to my surprise, they said they can't really adjust the idle run, is that right? another thing I noticed, w/ aircon on, I get 800 rpm at idle and w/o aircon 600 rpm. is that so with you guys also? cheers, Tony
  2. hi, I find the idle run on my car is a bit to low, running at 600 rpm, sometime even down to 500rpm, so to say that I couldn't get so smooth start in the 1st. gear when the engine not enough in-between-gas, it feels like the car loses both power and torq. I have run the PST2 and the DME showed only problem on the "Lamdasond". Would a 800 rpm at idle run smoother at start? cheers, Tony
  3. Hi, Could anyone tell me how long would the clutch cope until it's need to be change? In normal driving condition, and not in track used. cheers, Tony
  4. unfortunately it is not that easy, the new PCM II runs on digital with Fiber-optic, MOST@-Bus, and the PCM I is analog (old-school stuff). cheers, Tony
  5. NavTech stopped delivering to Porsche due to the new PCM II, the only chance is to buy the update package from Porche direct. At the moment there is a several upadte CD packages for PCM I (16-bit) from Porsche, not so sure about the 8-bit drives. cheers, Tony
  6. hey Loren, can't find the DIY for this, the Link just takes me to the DIY Forum? cheers, Tony
  7. hey Tool Pants, are there other brands than Bosch or Beru that are recommended? cheers, Tony
  8. hey Pat, got the Turbo II wheels installed with the above mentioned sizes, they looks awesome with 285/30, fits just about. but with 295/30 might be hard to fit under the fender when the shocks hits the max in position. cheers, Tony
  9. hey J.Seven, maybe you should consider a "Strute Brace" for the X74 suspension, to stiff up the chassi on that Cabrio of yours. cheers, Tony
  10. hey Scott, I thought so too, and I would believe they will fit your C4S but then you might need to put like 315 tires at the back and for GT2 might make sense with >450PS you will propably getting more grip but you will definately lose some top speed due to the friction of the wide back tires. so I would say go for the standard GT3 set with 295 tires. cheers, Tony
  11. Scott, rear 19-inch?, you mean 18-inch right? cheers, Tony
  12. hey Vic, fits fine, you will still have plenty of space between the wheels to the fender. have the Carrera 18" ET65 and TechArt 18mm spacer = 65 - 18 = ET47 and there is still space between the wheels and the fender cheers, Tony
  13. hey Pat, the rims are original Porsche and coming propably from the TT and therefor the 295/30 tires but if you mount the 285/30 there shouldn't be any problem with the rear fenderwall. I got that comment from the ATS Wheels sport engineer which going to mount a set like that tomorrow on my C2 Cabrio with Michelin PS N0 285/30 at the back. btw the Turbo II rear 11Jx18 comes only with ET45 PS. ATS Wheels is already producing the 19" for the 911S, looks GREAT, 5-spoke and the spoke are in U-form to reduce weight. cheers, Tony
  14. is the alu-optic code available, anyone? is the new alu-optic the same look as the alu-trim (horseshoe) around the gearshift? last but not least, silver-look on the door opener, is that alu-optic or Arctic Silver? cheers, Tony
  15. they don't really have any major negative side. the lastest test in german Automobile Club, they were "Really recommended", the only negative point were they had loud outside roll noise. cheers, Tony
  16. hmm... 100$ for a Certificate! You have already payed over 100k$ for the Car! IMO, that's nothing else more, is to put the VIN in their system, out to the printer and stamp and signed it, shouldn't cost that much amount of money. cheers, Tony
  17. hey all, saw this resently, BMC is not only tuning in Airfilter systems but also on Sparkplugs! What is your opinion, Top or Flop? More info at BMC cheers, Tony
  18. but don't forget on the C4S there are lots of TT parts in it, and that alone cost a fortune on aftermarket to get! "a lot of show and no go" - to a certain sense that right, e.g. top speed is 5km less than the normal C4, cause by the widebody. but that is a great looking car, IMO! cheers, Tony
  19. hey all, have anyone experience with the small 320mm steering wheel? I have the original 3-spoke and doesn't find it so sporty and thinking of getting 320 or 340, and the questing is 320 is to small? cheers, Tony
  20. Base prices in Euro: C2 = 74.504,- C4 = 80.304,- C2 Cabrio = 84.480,- C4 Cabrio = 90.280,- IMHO: I don't think the C4 Cabrio is worth to buy, cause for that money you can get the C4S (€89.816,-), and for what reason are you gona do with AWD in the Cabrio unless you have lots money and don't know what to do with it. C4 handle almost like a C2 in normal drive condition (5% front and 95% rear) and when it becomes critical the PSM will devide the power automaticaly to 40% Front and 60% Rear, the PSM is standard by C4 and for C2 it's an option (€997,-.). With no doubts the C4 has better traction than the C2 due to the AWD, with or without PSM On. There shouldn't be much different to do power slides in the C4 wth PSM Off than the C2, with PSM On, the PSM has sensors on all four wheels and breaks when necessary. And what I have heard the C4 intend more Under-stear than the C2, maybe that's the reason most track drivers wants a C2 cause it is more to the Over-stearing. The question driving fast in Rain, even the best electronic and AWD is not gona save your life or the car if you to fast in the Rain with bad tires. But with no doubt is a C4 great combination of sport and safety but never underestimate your own drive ability in high-speed in bad weather condition, it's just to many unsure factors, you only have one Life. cheers, Tony
  21. that's just a lip, add-on to the original 996 or GT3 front! on the pic, it's a GT3 front and on the normal 996 looks more or less the same but not as lowered as on the pic, but definitive better look. cheers, Tony
  22. hey ffelan, do you mean something like this? if that is the case, I think most of the tuner have those in their product portfolio. the one in the picture is coming from Cargraphic they are also active in the GTP Race weekend, cool guys. cheers, Tony
  23. hey there, well a rough cost would be: front = ca. 4500,- euro sideskirts = ca. 1000,- euro back = ca. 2000,- euro all cost are count w/o installation, all the parts can be ordered at Carnewal.com and Gert is really consultant. of course there are tuners like TechArt, Gemballa, FVD and others which love to give you a hand but then depends if you like the original PU or GFK parts. if you are not in a hurry, another great source is eBay, you could gether most of parts there. best of luck  . cheers, Tony
