  1. Today I had the brake fluid flushed and new DOT4 added. I had the shop save me a 1/2 pint sample of both the old fluid and the new fluid. I am in the process of testing both samples; will post pics and data…
  2. I have this same radio in my ‘06 987 is it possible to integrate an iPhone connection ?
  3. OK; I just had some 70K service done on my 2006 987, no problem. But, in the recommendations box it says to replace the fuel pump and filter. I Dont understand how that could be recommended on an excellent running. 987 ! any thoughts ?
  4. I would like to get the part # info too. So when mine break, I’ll have the replacements.
  5. PSM alert went off after driving a couple of miles. My belts came back without the buttons that keep the latch from falling. Sent SafetyRestore a message; maybe they don’t include the buttons ?
  6. Big thanks for the tutorial; the red seat belts are in. One Question: The PSM alert is on, I read somewhere that is will go away after driving. Is that so ? Or, does my Indy have to reset the computer ?
  7. I got the retractors out after a lot of twisting, prying, and swearing; what a fit Question: can I grind off. 1/4” off the end of that pin ? Or am I missing something ?
  8. I’m going to do a conversion to red using “ Seat Belt Webbing Replacement - Custom Colors - Frayed & Dog Chewed Repair SEATBELTRESTORE.COM Get any color seat belt webbing replacement! 9. Update: I tried to rig up a siphon to start the draining in order to detect when the warning comes on. Well, the washer reservoir will not allow a tube to be inserted. So, I'll resume using the washers and when the light comes on; I'll measure the amount needed to fill. Question: What is the capacity of the washer reservoir ? ; My car is an '06 987
  10. The washers were not used for approx 1 month. Today, I filled the washer tank again to Full. It took about 28 oz. I am assuming the tank got filled at the start of my experiment. There is no signs of water on my gsrxge floor. I think I’ll siphon out the water into quart bottles and see when thy he alert comes on
  11. I will check this weekend. I didn’t use the washer and the light hasn’t returned. Will update
  12. Any tips on purchasing and having the PCCM installed.
  13. Still haven’t installed the sensor. Ran a test: I filled the reservoir to the top and used the windshield washers until the warning light came back on. Then refilled with a measured volume. The reservoir took 66 oz to refill; the warning light went back out. My next test is to not use the washers for awhile, say a week or a month. Then check the level again and determine whether the reservoir leaks when driving. Otherwise, now I’m going to tackle cleaning the top
  14. This went smoothly. I was surprised at the dirt that got into the area where the headlight assembly sits. I put silicon grease on the rails that the headlight use as guide. Went in very easy
  15. After looking at a UTube video, it looks like the Round plug to the left is where the access is.
  16. My 2006 987 needs a headlight bulb replacement. I’m looking at the owners manual for guidance; but need a little help. I opened the carpeting to view the plugged opening. There’s a lower black plug and an upper blue plug. Is the black plug ghe one I use ? and are there any tricks to using the unlocking lever
  17. I love the operation of the intermittent wiper operation on my 2006 base Boxster 987 My question : Where is the rain sensor located ? And, how does is work ?
  18. Ok, I locked the car with the key fob, the Central Locking Switch flashes. According to the owners manual, the part just behind the windshield ( see pic above) is a temperature sensor and GPS antenna
  19. If it’s in the same module as the manual spoiler switch, you may need to order a new module; also known as a Stab Switch. Dealers can get you the right one based on just the VIN, mine cost around $125.
  20. Ok, that’s what I thought. What would I do to activate it ?
  21. I thought the part in the center was an alarm light, but not certain what is goes or how it works. It’s part 1 on the PET diagram IIRC
